I purchased a membership March 2020, it is now end of June and I have not received my kit yet. Has anyone received theirs in 2020??

been a year. saw them in LA. never got my “membership kit” i did just get my first email informing me that my “membership” will auto renew Aug 30. not a single email let alone tshirt hat stickers whatever else they’re lying about giving you if you buy a membership. 🖕🏻

So I signed up in September to be a Tool Army member in order to get presale tickets but it turns out it was completely falsely advertised and its December and still haven't got my t shirt bundle. This is a complete joke. Emailed customer service last week and no response. What action have people taken due to this crap? Is it possible to get a refund? Is their many people like me still waiting for their T shirt bundle?

Robert Golick
  • 12/10/19 - 10:58AM

I did the same thing and paid shipping too. No response to my emails either. Now they are offering the same deal to the cities on the second leg of the tour. FUCKING BULLSHIT!!!

Stephen Pravlochak
  • 12/10/19 - 11:59AM

Complete bullshit is right! This is stealing. Never had anything like this happen to me before. Are you planning on eating the 50 bucks? I know a lot of people have had the same issues so I am wondering if any legal action will be taken.

The Tool VIP is a complete mess and run by who knows who. (If you know who runs could someone let me know)
We had ADA access tickets because my GF broke her foot just before the show. When we got there the isle seats we had were all moved together in first 4 rows, we had row 2, seats 1,2 and now instead of being on the isle we are 20 seats in that she can't walk through. The venue offered me a refund as we couldn't get to our seats but since they were bought through Tool VIP they had to do the refund which they refused to do. They told us we could sit in the back of the floor or the Upper level ADA seats. Not acceptable especially at after the show was half over, missed soundcheck and got yelled at my some Tool crew member who wouldn't give me her name and covered up her badge. We couldn't stand in the isle and watch so we had to leave. $1034 for 2 tickets that we could not get to. They told me it's my fault and since I got angry they won't do anything. Don't give this company any more money, they are a complete joke. They could care less about us, they just want the money. I can tell you this after I do get my refund I will NEVER give Tool another penny of my money as they hire crappy low budget crews to run their VIP event. I felt like anything but a VIP that night in Houston Oct 27 2019. It's been a week now and I still feel pain in my behind from the screwing they me and my GF to add more seats, to make more money and could care less who gets hurt in the meantime. Tool VIP were the ones who gave me the seats on an isle, decided to fill in the isle with more seats to sell more tickets (which they told me) and pretty much told me to piss off. Good luck to y'all

*********** DOES ANYONE NEED 2 VIP TICKETS for PHILADELPHIA NOV 18th? ***********
I just realized that I bought them in addition to the Brooklyn show. I had assumed my purchase didn't go through because the computers were so swamped on pre-sale day I never got a confirmation. When I logged in to onelive to confirm the show dates/times I see the Phili tickets are there as well...
Based on the other Tool VIPs I've been to I think that as long as I give someone my ID to use they can pick up the tickets at will call and (they match id name to name on their list).
I would only ask face value. Call Rocky Roland if interested: (203) 656-1469 rockroland@aol.com

  • 10/17/19 - 6:42AM

I'm interested. I just emailed you.

Brooke Hornberger
  • 10/2/19 - 8:31PM

How was this notice posted so clearly, yet NOTHING about order validation, and ticket cancellations if your purchase email didn't match your Tool Army email. Dozens of longstanding TA members had tickets revoked today when the notice you did send didn't even come from the same email address that sent purchase confirmation. Also, I'm being told that my tickets were "reallocated to other TA members who didn't have an opportunity to purchase them originally" yet there is nothing anywhere about a limited amount of reclaimed tickets being available. THIS IS A JOKE.

Josh Scott
  • 10/3/19 - 6:54AM

This exact same thing happened to me. I just found out my VIP ticket was refunded and there is no exceptions. I have been a Tool Army member for 13 years and am a lifetime member. The email I used to order my tickets clearly belonged to my account as they use same name! I feel betrayed by my all time favourite band and there is nothing I can do to get it resolved. This is more than a joke, this is just horrible to do to loyal fans!

dave henson
  • 10/3/19 - 9:13AM

Really? This really happened to you guys? WHAT THE FUCK?

dave henson
  • 10/3/19 - 9:37AM

Can you tell me what shows you're talking about? I have two VIP for Denver, but this thread is making me a bit concerned.

Josh Scott
  • 10/3/19 - 9:41AM

My show was November 11th in Toronto, Ontario. They wont respond to me. Just a generic automated email. I'm shocked by this still and still trying to accept what has happened..

dave henson
  • 10/3/19 - 12:28PM

I would be beyond livid....after mustering up and shelling out $500...going through the elation of getting your ticket, then having it revoked would boil my blood. Especially considering a 13 year membership. Have you reached out to OneLive? A while back I lost access to Tool Army due to an email change. I couldn't get anywhere through the toolband site, so I went to their media site at https://onelivemedia.com/pages/contact-us and posted my request there. Within 2 days they had me going again. If you haven't tried that avenue, I'd recommend it.

Josh Scott
  • 10/4/19 - 1:15AM

I have tried that avenue, and OneLive media told me that there is nothing they can do. They said that they only manage the Tool Army memberships and that the VIP refunds are being carried out by the Tool VIP support team.. Needless to say, I am beyond livid about how this has been handled.

Ashley Maichetti
  • 10/4/19 - 8:29AM

OMG Im in the same boat
I fucking cant... Ive been a TA member for forever.. I never knew this was a requirement. Im so fucking depressed.. I was willing to pay $1000 for an experience.. and now im just shit out of luck. And tickets arent available. Im crying... like I was looking forward to this.. I dont understand how this happened or why there wasnt a clear indiciation that that was a requirement. I dont use my old hotmail account anymore but I fucking would have for this
omg anyways off to cry. I wont be at the Houston show.

Leigh Ann Capone
  • 10/9/19 - 7:27AM

If the email address needed to match why didn't they say that? I guess I will have to watch my credit card statement for when I get my thousand dollars back and give it to a ticket scalper instead. Literally husbands of tickets on stub hub and VIP ppl get their tickets revoked? How messed up is that?

Leigh Ann Capone
  • 10/10/19 - 8:45AM

GUYS!! If you lost your VIP tickets (like I did!!) no worries. You can spend the same amount of money (or more!!) on ticket scalper tickets!! More money, worse seats, purchased by less than awesome people trying to make a buck off real fans. Those were not cancelled!! YAY!

paul gathany
  • 10/10/19 - 11:30AM

i've been seeing people sending in proof that they were tool army members and weren't worthy of a cancellation and that the tool people were working with them to get it rectified. did you guys contact them, proving your membership and politely explaining that you're not supposed to be getting your order canceled?

Leigh Ann Capone
  • 10/11/19 - 6:42AM

Yes indeedy. I explained my situation. I was told its "VERY late" and that VIPS were sold out for my local show since they resold the VIPS back on 9/23 but I just got my money back from my 9/4 purchase on 10/10 and never received anything about the order being cancelled....such a bummer. Thankfully? Cleveland still has VIP tickets and its *only* a 6 hour drive..30 mins to Philly would have been better but at least its something local enough to be able to drive and get an over night trip in with the hubs. lol. It just stinks. My husband and I both used to work for a ticket selling company (like Ticketmaster but different) and there are things that they put in place over a decade ago when I worked there to ensure that this type of situation does not happen...
We want to go to the Philly show but we will not purchase inflated scalper tickets.

FYI to anyone reading this thread still...just scored front row club level for first night in Denver tonight (9/19) for face value! Still some left, check TOOL’s FB page under events and club level seating is listed. Not too many left so with a quickness folks! Hope this helps someone ✌️

Marcos Mirabal
  • 9/19/19 - 7:45PM

what is club level?

Thirdeye 1108
  • 9/19/19 - 8:07PM

Level in between lower and upper levels, just up from lower bowl, normally great views without being in the nosebleeds or surrounded by too many people. Was in a club level 2010 tour and really enjoyed

Not really sure who to ask or where to send a message. But how long dis it take others to receive the tool army shirt and merch in the mail after becoming a member?

Jason Schrantz
  • 9/18/19 - 3:20PM

I had to call my credit card company and get a refund. They simply take your money and don't send the merch. It's almost as messed up as the ticket situation is for this tour. Too many amateur scalpers out there. I remember seeing these guy's in '97 at red rocks and tix were $35. Those were the days.....

See you in Denver on October 15th !!!

Frank Youngman
  • 9/19/19 - 4:06PM

Where can you still buy the VIP tickets? I don't see any link

Paul Rock
  • 9/10/19 - 6:26PM

Does anyone know if there will be VIP pre-sale tickets for the Oct 16th added show in Denver? I waited by my computer for over 2 hours in preparation for tickets last week only to be 2,000 in line. That system sucks! I'd rather pay the $500 and not deal with the online bs or after marker vultures!

dave henson

Yes, they are live now.

  • 10/5/19 - 4:59PM

See ya'll there on the 16th! So lucky I got a VIP. And thus far has not been revoked. Whew.

Ian Campbell
  • 9/10/19 - 3:15PM

Did anyone get VIP for denver? I might try to get it for the Oct. 16th show, but if you look at the venue it showing the vip section behind everyone!!! If that's the case everyone who got VIP for that venue just got majorly screwed. If someone does have VIP for the Denver show at the Pepsi Center can you tell me what did they give you for seats?

dave henson
  • 9/11/19 - 4:27PM

Won't find out until we check in. The tickets are at will call, all the order said was "premium" seats. Whatever the fuck that is. If it is in the back of the floor I'll be miffed, but still damn glad to be at the show.

Anybody else get thier tickets through OneLive? My girlfriend bought me two VIP tickets for The tuesday show in Toronto but anything I read about One Live is making me nervous as hell. I am a super fan of the band but if we are out $1000 USD then I will be beyond pissed.

Kevin Bertrand
  • 9/11/19 - 10:45AM

Yeah man I got my VIP passes for the second day in Toronto.

Cory Cudmore
  • 10/16/19 - 12:52PM

I am guessing the second show in TO VIP are sold out as I see nothing on website :(

Andrew Ortiz
  • 9/8/19 - 9:01PM

If anyone has access to VIP in Connecticut please reach out. I missed the window apparently after some confusion and alas came away empty handed, i'm trying to find a VIP pass to accompany my brother who was lucky enough to score one. It would be amazing since he took me to one of my first concert going experiences, Aenima Tour way back in '97.

David Sweet
  • 9/8/19 - 7:33PM

Hey everyone, hope some of you had luck getting tickets if not i scored a extra 1 for anyone who got screwed so I still have 1 ticket for anyone who is looking to go to the Philly show at Wells Fargo Center
They are good seats too, section 106
If your looking or interested just reply here and we can talk

John Kauffman
  • 9/8/19 - 5:59PM

Everyone bitchen about tickets being resold. Well its there right to sell them if they choose. If you want to stop it the the only way you can do that is stop buying those tickets. I'm going to the chicago show.. going VIP. i attempted to get 2 more tickets for 2 of my kids and after i waited about 20 min to be able to buy tickets they all were sold. It sucks but that's what happens if you don't get them in time. So stop buying the over priced reseller tickets. Stick the scalpers with all these tickets and they may find a new way of making money .. snyway im interested in 2 tickets for the chicago show uf anyone has 2 that are together for my boys. Thanks

MARCIA MINEO
  • 9/8/19 - 8:32PM

agreed. I may have 2... will know more next week.

Thirdeye 1108
  • 9/8/19 - 9:11PM

Why buy them if you were never planning to go? Just to "profit" at someone else's expense? There are many lifelong fans who are not able to access the internet due to work, or other commitments, when tickets go on sale thereby never having an opportunity to get them for face value. They are then forced to pay an exorbitant amount and that is the reason I will keep on a bitchen. If it ain't right, it ain't right.

Mike Coapstick
  • 9/9/19 - 7:20PM

Let me know if you still need tickets. I have extra for the Chicago show. Section 112.

Marcus Hummel
  • 9/10/19 - 7:43AM

"its there right to sell them if they choose" - Not sure, if that could be said this general, since the price probably matters. But beyond the legal perspective: You simplify, if you reduce this to a legal problem. To have a certain right does not constitute the necessity to make use of it. But since most people are far away from this insight, a legal solution would be the best solution at the moment, of course: make that crap (i.e. the commercial re-selling) illegal!
I'm completely with Thirdeye 1108: Keep on bitchin' in the free world! ; ) m/

David Hickey
  • 9/8/19 - 4:46PM

Can we talk about the setlist? We got all these new songs. But how many of them get played and what older stuff gets cut? Somebody’s favorite is not getting played, people. Is it Schism due to the similarities between it and Pneuma (that’s not a criticism to be clear-I fucking love both songs). I hope not. All these new songs are 10 plus minutes. I feel like tickets cost more this go around-I don’t remember them ever being $150 before. I feel like the most I’ve ever paid was $90 or possibly $110. (And yes those were floor). I didn’t get to go to any shows earlier this year-were they already $150 Does this mean we are gonna get a longer show? If not-does that mean Stinfist will no longer be the extended version? I hope that’s not the case-I love that extension.
I’m sure whatever it is, it is going to be fucking epic. I’m very much looking forward to this show.
Also on the track Fear Inoculum, is that Devo playing cello?

Thirdeye 1108
  • 9/10/19 - 12:52AM

I’m guessing we get a heavy dose of the new material. Would love to see them jam all the new material but think they’ll leave a couple out. Who knows what gets cut from the normal jams vs how much of the new gets played? I really enjoy the extended version of Opiate but being that it is a about 10 minutes long maybe that gets cut. I hope not. They have played Third eye a bit recently and I love seeing that live too but, with its length maybe not this time around. My gut says some of the popular radio songs will still be included in the set list as that is what sells tickets. The last couple shows I have seen had a really good mix of their albums so I still hope they play a good mix with some “deep” cuts (JIMMY) here or there and a lot off FI.

As far as length, arena shows have been about 2hrs. with a 10-15min intermission so I wouldn’t expect anything too much longer than previous shows but certainly wouldn’t complain if they played for 3 hrs!!!

After my Ticketbastard experience yesterday, in what was quite a stressful experience in obtaining tickets, I would like to reiterate what other people in this thread have been touching on.

Ticketmaster is a monopoly, and they are robbing the true fans of live music a fair ticket purchase experience. This has been shouted from the rooftops of thousands of Tool fans everywhere. Tool tickets are now marked up anywhere from 125% to upwards of 1000% on Ticketbastard, and other secondary purchase websites. This is bullshit.

I was one of the fortunate ones who obtained tickets at face value, with a Ticketbastard fee. Many fans were unable to purchase tickets. The TRUE fans. The bots won, once again.

How can us, as fans, and Tool, being a band that I would think truly appreciates their fan base, allow this to happen? This is a major problem for all music fans, as well as the artists who appreciate their fan base. Something has to be done. Legally. It’s atrocious.

I would now like to plead with Tool. Please allow your fan base an alternate means of obtaining tickets other than online purchasing websites. Please start doing what other bands like Pearl Jam and Iron Maiden have been doing to combat the robbery.

Your fan base is important to you, isn’t it? I would think so. As a majorly influential band, Tool, you can make a difference. Please show the world that this is wrong, and you do care about your fan base. I think it would be a crucial time in live music history to do so. The choice is yours.

Couldn't even login, after spending $50 just fora shot at VIP tix (not complaining about price, i get it, an i get some cool merch and shit, but come on if i pay $50 i should at least be able to login to the site, not have it stuck in an infinite "login to access > input login info > hit enter > rather than load page it's supposed to, it refreshes the original page asking for my login info" loop of frustration...

Damn disappointed. At least the album is stellar.

All that said, if anyone, by some miracle, is looking to sell a VIP ticket to the San Antonio show on October 25, @ AT&T Center, please let me know as I will not hesitate to pay for them within minutes.

I know its a long shot, but longer shots have landed successfully, and rather recently i might add. For example, Tool just released the "most over-hyped album of the century" and somehow, being Tool, managed to defy all the odds and actually live up to the hype, and simultaneously grow as a band and listening experience. I know im gushing, and rambling, and this is a request for tix not an album review, just saying that if they can somehow live up to the ungodly amount of hype we placed on their Atlas-ian shoulders, well then maybe, just maybe, you can sell me a single VIP ticket to the San Antonio AT&T Center show. On October 25. I'll love you forever. And longer if you asked.

David Potokar
  • 9/10/19 - 7:05PM

  • 9/7/19 - 11:41AM

Hey. I’ve got two extra tix for Glendale. My extra people can’t go. Excellent seats in 111. Will sell or might be willing to trade for Tulsa. I’m in the 512 area code tho. Nine four 7-11 five nine. Hit me up via text.

New TOOL album, VIP tickets for the Newark show, and floor seats for Atlantic City. It’s been a phenomenal week for this lifelong fan. Time to celebrate! Cheers!

Greg DiFiore
  • 9/6/19 - 11:57PM

Things just aren't fair anymore. I joined Tool Army to get in on pre-sales. Only VIP $500 tickets were given. Got on right at ten to score tickets for Denver. Told me I was 2000th in line, then every ticket that showed up was already taken. Now they show crappy reseller tickets at $250. I think we need to start a class action suit to keep tickets going to consumers, not resellers. Ought to be a law...

GREGORY PAIGE
  • 9/7/19 - 5:29AM

Agreed!

  • 9/7/19 - 10:59PM

Feelin the same way, buddy. I'm so salty over this ticket bait-and-switch with TA & the ridiculous reseller tickets are outrageous, I don't even want to see them anymore. Lots of great bands coming to the Phoenix area; I can go see 2 or 3 bands for the price of 1 Tool ticket.

So true. I was able to see tickets on sale at the san Antonio show and they were just not worth being marked up so crazy high. It's complete robbery. Takes all the fun out of seeing the show when all your money goes the ticket itself.

Toolarmy member for years and could not buy floor seats - online waiting at 9:50 am and hardly escaped with lower bowl after waiting online for 30minutes then scrambling to get good seats. Ticketmaster kept wanting to give me upper bowl way back when I kept toggling best seats...

So I have two extra tickets to the Indianapolis show if anyone needs a pair. They aren’t the best, section 218, row 10, seats 3&4. My buddy ended up getting us floor seats so i figured I’d offer them up here first for actual fans

Hey dude, cool that you are offering tickets on this site. My partner and I are coming from Scotland for a few dates, managed to get 2 for Philly, looking for Boston and Newark tickets, if anyone reads this and has any spares, please get in touch. We have exactly the same problems with Ticketmaster in the UK, absolutely scandalous! We did one of the clinics, it was absolutely incredible, enjoy your experience dude, cheers

If anyone wants to dump their VIP ticket for the show in Glendale AZ in my lap, I will happily pay full value for it! Couldn't get the link to work for VIP but i dont even care if they were $500, I still would have bought one. Bummed Out.

Actually, One person has their name on the two tix... if someone bought an extra they could make a friend and take someone with them under their name... so, they are shareable in that way.

I feel bad for the people that didn’t get tickets but I manage to get a VIP ticket late Wednesday night for the second Toronto show and there was other shows there still so you just had to keep checking. The website leaves a lot to be desired it’s like Danny runs it himself and you could tell that within the first few minutes of using this site but it’s tough to blame tool for the ticket situation because they are at the mercy of live nation and Ticketmaster who own all the venues and require you to give them a certain allotment of tickets so they can resell them. That’s why you see tickets on stub hub before today which Ticketmaster also owns. The prices today for Toronto were pretty ridiculous $300 for lower bowl and floors I’m so glad I paid the US$500 for a VIP front row

Semon Meekhail
  • 9/6/19 - 6:35PM

What I’m wondering is what my VIP ticket actually is where is the seat is or is it just general admission in the front. they did not send me an actual ticket or any information I just have to pick it up at the will call the day of.

VIP section was illustrated on the floor plan at some venues...

Semon Meekhail
  • 9/6/19 - 8:39PM

It was on ticketmaster before the tickets went on sale today, but today there is a new floor plan and that front section is gone. Now tocketmaster just shows left right and centre box with nothing in the front. Hopefully it is a sectioned off piece of the front that would be great. Anyone who did the last vip know what the seats turned out like?

ReAnne Cram

They just added a second show on the 16th. Tickets on sale next Friday at 10. This should help bring the secondary prices down and give you another shot at it. I am just wondering if they will do the VIP experience for this second show or not.....

I spent an hour last night trying to get logged into the site to get to the presale tickets. An hour this morning resetting the password and trying to get to the presale tickets. Only to find they were the VIP package tickets. In a panic I signed onto the ticketmaster site for tickets and was lucky to get 2 lower bowl seats. I've been a member since the 90's and I've been to 17 Tool shows including a meet n greet in Tempe. I even listened to Tool play from outside of a dive bar in Idaho Falls when I was underage and they were unknown! I've bought 1-2 concert shirts per show, CD's and who knows what else! What I'm saying is this: As a long time fan of the band, or even if someone bought the membership a week ago, the four of you who financially gain the most should offer up more than what is being offered to Tool Army members! I understand you are the creative geniuses making the music, it's so good that it won't affect my willingness to support the band. However, nobody, least of all myself likes to feel like the rats chasing the piper to the cliff. It's the idea of becoming a cog in the wheel, a sheep in the herd most of us find repulsive. I for one was attracted to Tool not only for the music but also the message. If Tool army is a vessel you're using to lure and guide fans (rats) to the cash register (cliff) then lets call it what it is. Otherwise, hire someone to take charge of the club and invest a percentage of what you make per year into the heart, foundation of your fan base. I'm not asking for you guys to go out of your way and meet the diehard fans and scratch their nuts, pat them on the head and tell them what a good job they're doing. I'm saying give us a chance to buy good tickets first, BUY with our money, not free, not reduced price. I would scrape change and short the rent to buy a ticket 20 years ago. Even if I can afford it now, I know some of your fans have to do it now and like it's happened to me, some won't have enough. But you can bank on the rich entitled douchebag that has nothing to do that day and heard "sober" on KBER once and really liked it to be there. With better seats than most of us were able to get. Alright, I'm done ranting. My bet goes down on no comment or response to my diatribe from the band or management, if I lose the bet we should hear something back, if nothing else reassurance that we're not just suckers gleefully falling into the sea!

Ivan Dodosn
  • 9/6/19 - 6:26PM

Ditto... Similar experience. Never been so disappointing with a band I love. Many of these songs I see, are about us... :( How did I end up with seats BEHIND THE STAGE for a TOOL show, whats the point??!!! Logging on the second they go on sale and thats the best the system can do, thats what they give me? Im disputing the charge and staying home. i quite. Ill just pay a scalper $1600 for 2 floor tix when im able. Im off the ARMY, whats the point? to be VIP and see a sound check?

Lissa Palmiter
  • 9/6/19 - 6:28PM

Nicely done! Respect! And ditto.. Let me add it's hard @ this juncture to be grateful. All of us that have followed TOOL for about 30 yrs, basically DID fall off of that cliff. Whether lucky enough to get VIP, or go through TicketMaster hell, I feel like we should be able to disregard the word "LUCKY". Should be NO DOUBT that we get 1st crack @ anything the band throws out as fresh "mest". Just my added thoughts...

All four of you are the biggest Turd Fergusons I know. Why must your band be so damn good that tickets are harder to obtain now than they were 5 years ago? Thanks guys, you clearly don't give a crap about your fanclub anymore. Tool army used to have actual concert pre sales, and they used to work wonderfully. Now you've decided to stop that and make your paying fans deal with ticketmaster, bots and scalpers. Guess I'm sitting out your Detroit show. Spiral out and all that.

Tara Hughes
  • 9/6/19 - 3:30PM

100% agree!!! Total crap! I joined the fan club specifically to get notifications about the pre-sale but never got ANYTHING. Nor did my friend who also joined for the notifications. OneLive Media is a joke. They are fleecing fans with broken technology. They are a subsidiary of AEG so it makes sense how they rape you and get away with it. That's the LiveNation/TicketMaster business model. Not to mention the back door deals to get tickets back on their verified resale sites. We need our congressmen to intervene is the only way I think this will end

Got all the way through to buying the tickets for LA concert in the last minute the site shuts down, re enter and no more tickets available. Thankfully bought 2 (200 bucks overpriced ) in StubHub after an hour trying. StubHud offered resales half the seats of the whole Staples Center for the concert was ridiculous. fucking bots!

That plus a plane ticket to LA from Costa Rica. Don’t care, its fucking Tool!

Why can't I log in to buy tickets? It just keeps taking me back to the log in screen, which is always helpful and not frustrating at all. I've tried every browser, I've tried resetting my password. Yet, I was able to log in to comment. I was also able to log in so I could finish buying the member bundle and pay for the shipping. This is the first fan club like this I've ever joined, do they all operate so poorly? It also would have been nice if there was some kind of email that went out to members about the VIP presale.

How the hell would I find this out? No email sent to inform TOOL army members of the pre-sale? Then when I google it to see if there is anything going on I get a link to this page, which is not accessible from the regular TOOL army portion of the site? Also only VIP Pre-sale tickets, no general pre-sale? You could have the average person running this and they would do a better job of whoever the incompetent person is assigned with managing this completely broken site.

Step 1. Send out semi-regular emails to update members when there is new content or pre-sales.

Step 2. Update the fucking TOOL ARMY portion of the site so people can easily navigate where they need to go.

Step 3. Offer some general admission, or at least normal priced tickets in the pre-sale for those of us who can't spend $1000 to go to a TOOL show.

Otherwise, you're just ripping off some of the most supportive members of the fan-base and those who are supporting the band with memberships and buying merchandise and albums are going to feel like they got fucked over.

Mike Huggins

In case any of you missed it, the CD is available for pre-order through 11:59ET on store.toolband.com for purchase. Limit 4 per order. Comes with a digital download code that will enable you to download the album now, with bonus tracks and music. Sounds like this will be the final pressing of the CD with the limited edition packaging.

Good luck tomorrow Tool fans. This has been a clusterfuck of epic proportions, but I hope to see many of you in Denver.

"with a limited number of tickets will be available to Tool Army members on Sept. 4. Tool Army information, as well as VIP package details"

AS WELL AS

Ryan Jewell
  • 9/5/19 - 8:51PM

Even their grammar sucks. "with a limited number of tickets will be". Who wrote this, someone from China? A disaster all the way around.

Jeffry Kaltz
  • 9/5/19 - 9:11PM

It says tool army information as well as vip package details.
It does not say pre sale tickets as well as vip tickets.
Not being a dick I thought the same thing. But technically they didn't say anything false.

  • 9/6/19 - 1:46PM

The way the sentence is structured, one might say that it doesn't actually say there will be a presale as well as VIP presale. However the way it was put is definitely misleading (and grammatically poor). Whether it was intentional or due to incompetence is up for debate but they dropped the ball.

There's a good reason the stupid website was overloaded, the presale was open to EVERYONE, not just "Tool Army Members" like they claimed. I couldn't even get into my account and by the time I did, all sold out. At least I get a T-shirt (ha). I sure hope there are more VIP tickets available tomorrow 9/6 at 10am!

ReAnne Cram
  • 9/6/19 - 2:00AM

I had to be logged in to access the tickets. Luckily my computer kept me logged in from the night before... My fiancé couldn’t get to it the whole time because the spinning wheel of death got stuck from asking him to log in through the ticket link.

Tom Shields
  • 9/5/19 - 7:51PM

And yes, I know I look like JMK. I get that quite often.

Tom Shields
  • 9/5/19 - 7:50PM

As a Tool Army member, I enjoy being a 55-year-old groupie. I am curious as to why or who I can verify that the VIP tickets are no longer available. If it is sold-out, can someone update the website to indicate such? If not, I am still holding out hope before the scalpers take all the front row seats for Houston after it opens for the public tomorrow.

  • 9/5/19 - 6:54PM

I Was Able To Secure A VIP Ticket, However I'm Not Quite Sure About How The Seating Works?
Will I Receive An Email Stating My Seat Or Is It Designated To Me At The Venue?
Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated.
Spiral Out.
Keep Going.

Chas Sourek
  • 9/5/19 - 7:06PM

They will assign a seat to you after the event.

Jonathan Rosen
  • 9/5/19 - 7:17PM

The VIP is usually centre stage first few rows.

Joe Sipos
  • 9/5/19 - 7:25PM

^^^Yes, and that alone is why I paid the $517 for a VIP ticket..

BRIAN MORRIS
  • 9/5/19 - 7:38PM

All the past TooL VIP tickets I have gotten were all front row. Three different shows at different venues but it could be different this round.

Chris Talley
  • 9/5/19 - 11:02PM

Brian Morris did you meet the band?

Baris Baser
  • 9/6/19 - 3:59AM

Trever, did the web site work for you? Which browser and platform are you on? Chrome? Mac? PC?

David Sweet
  • 9/5/19 - 6:38PM

Sooo what I’m thinking is since this is the first tour for the new album they only did the VIP bullshit, but if I remember correctly after 10,000 days first tour they toured again a year or so later on a
mini-tour, it was called -A Evening With TOOL- I still have my ticket stub from it, I’m thinking that’s when they will have the regular presale tickets for us Tool Army members, well at least I hope

Good luck on Friday
Let’s help each other out too if people are able to get extra tix

Marcus Watson
  • 9/5/19 - 9:39PM

So I still have a chance to get tickets at regular tm prices? So far all im seeing is guaranteed tix for $200+ in nosebleeds.

Jodi Berger Cardoso

Does anyone know what this Queue-It program is. It has you waiting in line? Is it bullshit or is it intended to help you beat the bots?

  • 9/5/19 - 6:21PM

No, lines ,but sign in on the tool page first and try to copy and past on Firefox, it worked well for me yesterday. But , I just checked and there's no events listed. Good Luck

Paul Horton
  • 9/5/19 - 5:34PM

So like many others I can't log into the Pre-Sales page and I've tried several different browsers.... Those that are having success, what browser are you using? Thanks

Matt Jones
  • 9/5/19 - 6:16PM

I'm used firefox. However, I copied and bookmarked the link when they posted it 2 days before the presale. I just used that bookmark after signing in on the main tool page first. Unfortunatley, It says that no events are Currently scheduled. on 9/4 I was in and out in 2 minutes. Good Luck!

I paid to get into TOOL Army about 15 years ago and it was never annual - it was a lifetime membership. I have been a member ever since though nothing special ever comes from it. VIP is out of my price range though being crafty, I always get tickets to their shows. If you have to pay annually, it's a rip off.

ana garcia
  • 9/5/19 - 11:53PM

I too only paid once about 18yrs ago. I rec'd a poster, sticker, patch and a membership card when I initially signed up. According to my profile, my membership expires 2100 lol.

James Parker
  • 9/6/19 - 1:47PM

Been listening to them since Opiate was released but I've never been one to join fan clubs. This was the first time in my life I've ever done something like this and it will be the last.

  • 9/5/19 - 5:18PM

Cannot log in to purchase pre-sale tickets. Have been trying for three hours. Extremely disappointed and frustrated. This website is a horrible, ineffective tool, and whoever is running it is a tool. Furthermore, jumping through a bunch of hoops, renewing my Tool Army membership in order to participate in the pre-sale and then not being able to participate, has attenuated my interest. I had planned on attending six shows, from Denver to Tulsa. Now I may attend one. I feel fleeced and used. Love the music of Tool, but this has really diminished the band. Wake up fellas.

Lori Garrison
  • 9/5/19 - 6:09PM

agree 100%, waited by my computer for 2 hours logged in and could never even hit the page without errors. Let Ticketmaster do their job and run the presales for the band. At least they can handle volume and queue people in line. Wondering what my membership actually gets me since you have to pay $39 for the merch pack.

DAN ABT

Interesting, there was no log-in criteria yesterday. Along with that, the last I remember seeing is that all VIP tickets had been sold out. Good luck and keep trying.

  • 9/5/19 - 3:36PM

This turned out to be a colossal fuck up. I'm a on the fence on contentment due to the fact that I did manage to get a vip ticket, just not the date I wanted. Who even came up with the "pre-sale" ticket add should be subjected to the Lanister walk of shame for every show, since it was pure false advertising. I truly don't understand why there were two different messages posted either. I was told by some friends that the FaceFuck page did mention VIP while the toolband site had no mention of VIP, just presale. Also, why does FaceBook actually have more content than the band's own website? Totally fucked up IMO. People paid to join Tool Army but the Tool Army page doesn't even actually work now.

If I'm inclined to blame anyone it has to be management and the web designers, there was probably little oversight or foresight into what ended up happening.

At least ticket prices weren't like Ozzy's last tour, those VIP packages were insanely priced, mind you the access to those were interesting.

All fans can hope for is a better experience next time around. This all seemed a bit rushed.

Tomorrow is Battle Bots day WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

DAN ABT
  • 9/5/19 - 5:52PM

I believe hundreds more agree with you 100% but I feel it all lands on deaf ears. The VIP ticket cost is fine by me, I cannot afford it, but the way it was communicated ahead of time was bed-shiting-level bad.

Deborah Penland
  • 9/5/19 - 3:21PM

Won't let me in either. Weird, I'm logged in here, but won't let me to actually go to pre-sale. Also, I was under the impression we would have access to pre-sale for regular tickets. Very disappointed in Tool for this obvious misleading info on page. Last time they were in our area tickets sold out in like seconds, thanks to bots and resale sites. So looks like will miss them again this time around. Been a fan since the beginning, but losing faith in this band.

Ian Stanford
  • 9/5/19 - 3:37PM

I couldn't sign in all day. I am living in Minneapolis and booked a ticket to Denver but absolutely no luck even signing in for that show. I hope tomorrow I can beat the 'bots for a ticket. I am all for the Tool Army but our Generals in the back have let us down. I still love the album though. There is just some bad management on the backside of daily operations. Denver or bust!!!

  • 9/5/19 - 3:38PM

All,
I can appreciate the frustration you are all feeling. As a concert goer for 45 years, first concert Alice Cooper, I have had my share of disappointments. Last year my son and I were able to save our pennies and experience the road show and personal upfront interaction that Danny, Justin and Adam offered via an intimate VIP setting. I can tell that they are a band that cares about their fans and they went the extra mile to demonstrate that. I believe this recent cluster is not the way they want things to go and I trust when they hear about it, and probably already have, they will be disappointed. I am not sure how they can correct it but imagine they will try to in some way lets give them the opportunity.
This is big business and I saw a number of bands in small settings over the years and "knew" them before anyone else. And because of these artist becoming more popular they were no longer "my band" and I felt like my little secret wasn't so much anymore. I have also lived long enough to see bands go full circle meaning watching them at bars to stadiums to back at bars...humbling for them to say the least and some instances maybe what they really wanted all along. The ability to stay small and yet meet the demands of so many is not an easy task and I suspect this is what has happened.
Lets give the band a chance to respond and trust they have OUR best interest in mind as we are what gives the the platform they are on and one we all still would like to experience.
TOOL- we appreciate you and know you will do the right thing!

Still can't login. Tried resetting password. Still doesn't work. Also your login page isn't using HTTPS which it should be, especially in 2019. You should be able to afford competent web developers and hosting. Disappointed. Why did I pay $$$ to join Tool Army if the supposed benefits are inaccessible?

Adding to the gripes: So glad I signed up for Tool Army and all I got was decade old merch! The T-Shirt feels like it's been sitting in a box for 14 years. Sigh. Luckily ti got me access to spend $500.00 on tickets! Oh wait, no it didn't because even though they said paying them $50.00 for the membership would grant us first dibs, that was an outright lie, as the general public got access to the tickets as well and beat me to the punch.

The band has no actual clue wtf is going on, and I'm pretty sure they are not associated with this website or toolarmy in any way. After this clusterfuck, they will for sure come out and say the band has nothing to do with toolarmy. They won't own it.

Marcus Hummel
  • 9/5/19 - 10:49PM

Do you see any non-band-reaction?..... To a certain degree, I share your assumption. The band cannot do everything on their own, division of labor resp. its necessity... To say they fucked it up is super-probably wrong. BUT: even though they're not responsible for this, they represent it (read the first four letters in your browser line... no: not "http" ; )). Compared to this ongoing silence a "not guilty"-plea of the band OR ANY REACTION OF ANYBODY IN CHARGE AT ALL would already be progress. Not that it would be satisfying as such (only the certainty or, let's be modest, confidence that such a mess will never occur again would be), but it would be a (first) sign that the complaints are not ignored, but taken seriously. By now, unfortunately I have any cause for ruling out the first.

Seriously?

Sean Schafer
  • 9/5/19 - 11:58AM

Couldn’t get online yesterday and bully the time I did they were all gone. That has never happened for VIP tickets. They usually last a couple of days. Love the new music. I’ve listened to it on repeat for the past week and I finally get it. I will say this - this new album is bitter sweet. Everyone all of a sudden loves these guys? I am upset that the original Tool Army members didn’t get preference in the VIP. Anyone with $50 and a computer can get the same treatment as the long time loyal fans? How is that OK? What the point of a fan club if everyone can join right before the presale. I know Pearl Jam and DMB don’t allow new members to join their fan club before presale for this reason. I’m really disappointed at how the original fans were treated. I didn’t think Tool Army would be conduit to commercialism. This is my favorite band not favorite band of the moment.

  • 9/5/19 - 11:28AM

Iv never been able to see Tool live. Iv wanted to for years and years. Was so excited to hear of a new album finally being released because that means tour time. Guys, what the fuck. I'm seeing people in here that have been tool army for years, even through your fucking drought where you couldn't just put a record out. 13 years? These people seem to not have even had a fighting chance to get the VIP tickets. The new album should have been named "4745 days"

I'm 100% doing a charge back on you guys for this membership.

I also like that i'm writing this like someone from the band will actually read this and care what a fan of their art thinks.

Thank God I don't have to buy your album. I can just stream it now ;) hope you make a few dollars on streaming.

13 years for an album. 13 minute songs?? That's your problem.

You guys really shit the bed on this deal.

So. 500.00 is a bit steep....but oh well......i would have paid it..., but no way in hell am I buying a VIP package without knowing where my seats are. Wish was a fan club presale for normal tickets to be picked up at Will Call..not just the VIP.

Noel Bartolome
  • 9/5/19 - 9:17AM

Well I’m kinda meh about the VIP package. But what the about this 10:00 local time? Was it AM or PM? What local time? Was it regionally locked until either 10am/pm local times? I’m sure am but still was if really a time zone roll out? Why east coast got first dibs? Anyways I was too busy at work this morning to even try. Thanks for the shirt!

Anyone? btw FearInoculum is fucking amazing. This show is more about taking my daughters to their second TOOL show and if casual means obsessed, we're all very casual fans!

I waited patiently for over 40 minutes which luckily gave me enough time to sell my both kidneys on the black market to buy VIP packages for both concerts in Toronto. All I have to do now is sell my liver to pay for the 7000 kilometers flight from Poland & hotel. Lucky me.

There sure is a lot of negativity on here and I’m still bummed, deflated and really not looking forward to Friday. FUCK Ticketmaster. I’ve been TA for a while now and haven’t seen a regular ticket pre-sale but knew they did one after 10,000 Days and some tours previous to that. Guess I just assumed with the masterpiece that Fear Inoculum is, how the original post was worded and the scalpers getting the tickets for the last number of years TA was actually gonna get a legit pre-sale. I’m not crying, bitching, blaming the band or calling people names over it, just expressing my disappointment. The last couple shows I’ve been able to get tickets for, Des Moines(2019) & Chicago(2017), I wound up in the nosebleeds which, I genuinely was appreciative just to be able to be be there but honestly the people around me made the experience terrible. The girl in front of me at Chicago was checking her phone about every 3 minutes and wouldn’t stfu to the person next to her. In Des Moines, halfway through the first time hearing Invincible, some guy a number of rows back decided to yell “get on with it already” because apparently it wasn’t as good as Five Finger Punch or something...I was so excited to see TOOL announce a show in Milwaukee (first one since 2007) and am still really stoked but if the only tickets available Friday are the ones up in the nosebleeds I’m really conflicted as to whether I should go. I love TOOL and seeing them live have been such impactful moments for me but as of late I don’t know if I want to be stuffed in an arena that is half filled with people who bought their tickets off a scalper because it is a “cool” show to see. You know, one of my favorite concerts was RATM and the reason why, besides they are fucking awesome, is because no matter where you were in the sea of 30,000 we were all there for one purpose, to see RATM. Sorry for the ramble just needed an outlet, guess we shall see what Friday brings! Thanks for the album and the upcoming tour your real fans still love you TOOL✌️??

  • 9/5/19 - 1:17AM

Is it superficial to act like a loyal "Tool Army" member when I only signed up for the first time yesterday and others have been members since the 90s? Maybe not ethically speaking but yes technically I am just as qualified to early access to tickets as the guy or girl who's been a member for over 20 years. What sucks is that not only have I been misled, but also those other fans who have committed funds to the "Tool Army" for a couple decades, into thinking that we had some kind of privilege - it's ridiculous. The message indicated that we would get access to a limited number of PRE SALE tickets, which is easy to infer that you would have a small window to purchase ORDINARY tickets. But spending all this time and sanity toward access to $500 tickets?? So ridiculous. I would have less of a problem spending the $50 membership fee if I had to endure the website crashing to get early access to general tickets. OR being able to get right through the website but only to access $500 tickets. But having to negotiate a website that crashed AND to see the selection limited to $500 tickets - so unacceptable

  • 9/5/19 - 1:41AM

I agree cause I felt like I was misled myself.

Jason Voss
  • 9/5/19 - 1:56AM

Someone got access and it wasn't us. Where the fuck are all the secondary market tickets coming from? I'm so pissed off. Not sure what my lifetime membership benefit really is anymore.

Gordon Crawford
  • 9/5/19 - 2:09AM

Season ticket holders for the sporting events are always offered tickets days in advance before any presale. But only for the seats they own.

Lou Gilman
  • 9/5/19 - 10:50AM

All that being said I would still be happy for the opportunity to get my hands on the ticket package, I'm sure it's a once in a lifetime opportunity and I'll bet that the seats are worth the price of purchase, which is more than I planned on spending but I'd be thrilled with early access to good seating

Vince Rizzo

Danny DelPriore

What an absolute shit show. Thanks for nothing, Tool. Jeezus. Errors, no pre-sale asde from $500 VIP - one ticket??!! So lame.

Steve Allen
  • 9/5/19 - 12:57AM

Been trying all day long to access the pre-sale. Keeps saying that I need to enter my user name and password. Even though I am already logged into the site. I have tried different browsers and emailed the support team 2 times with no response or answer. Really disappointing. As a comparison I have been a member of the U2 fan website for many years and gotten access to pre-sale tickets and have never had a problem.

I genuinely feel sorry for the people who had a bad experience, missed out on tickets, or couldn’t afford the VIP. It really does suck for those people. I wanted VIP tickets and had no issues at all, but I was fortunate. I plan to try for tickets to another show in the area and hope all the decent tickets aren’t snatched up by the scalpers. It’s a shame that in 2019, with all of our technological advancements, this whole process isn’t better. Good luck everyone!

David-Alexandre Despres
  • 9/5/19 - 12:12AM

While some (most) are complaining, I just realized that the Recusant Ad Infinitum video that is shown in the Deluxe CD package is a movie to Descending (for most of the sequence that contains lyrics, Maynard's voice and then stop it (or let it begin again?)). Fits perfectly!!!

After 25 shows in 23 years I figured it was time to do a VIP experience for my hometown show. Sweaty palms as the site was super buggy through Chrome so I switched over to Firefox at the last moment. Zing! No issues. Got my tickets at 10:02AM.
Now I've got to do two simultaneous drops for different shows on Friday and that is gonna suck. Good luck to all and death to bots and scalpers.
RE: This presale. I've been in the Tool Army since day one. Yes. There have been presales in the past - not for every tour. The last year there was a general ticket presale was in 2007 (10,000 Days Summer Tour). Every presale since has been for the $500 VIP experience to my knowledge.
Spiral Out.

Thomas Calicchio
  • 9/5/19 - 9:58AM

Justin Diaz
  • 9/4/19 - 11:34PM

Wow...been online trying to get through at 9am central time...it is now 630 pm and I was finally able to log on and all the tickets are gone now. Alex Contri
  • 9/4/19 - 11:20PM

So I was ready to buy my pre-sale VIP ticket at 10am today only to have the server crash. I spent 30 minutes trying to get in. By 10:30am I was finally able to get in only to see that all the tickets to the NY shows were sold out. Fucking lame. Essentially I paid $50 for a shirt And stickers just so I can buy the tickets on Friday with everyone else. The VIP ticket availability is clearly not enough to support the Tool Army. It would have been nice for this actually to be a real ticket presale not just ViP. As Tool fans who waited 13 years for a new album we deserved that. Now we get nothing for our loyalty and will have to buy with the masses on Friday. Announcing this ahead of time
As a presale is misleading and seems like a scam cash grab for all the new Tool Army members who just signed up. Again. Fucking lame

I don't know who is running THIS shitshow, but I hope they're reading all of this. So many new TOOL fans and I can only imagine the bad taste this has all left. I feel bad for them, yet, I've been a TOOLie for years. So, I guess I see both sides of the coin. What TA used to be (albeit not perfect) and what all the noobs saw today. What a let down. And to Blame the band, after not even 1 week of delivering the "MASTERFULLY" done "Fear Inoculum" really hrts my soul. I'm babbling, but...what a week. Up, so UP, then today...;(

Vip presale from today is gone.

Hoping TA general sale link will get posted, but not holding my breath.

Miracle hit me and fiancé this morning, we got through to the presale page after hours of anxiety, and we used our credit card to get vip in brooklyn in hopes of attending with his brother. Still working on a vip for him.

Nonetheless, we are gonna buy as many regular tix as we can on Friday and share/sell/transfer them here to help beat bots and share the love to this community.

Hopefully other peeps will rally and do the same to help one another out in the quest for seeing tool and having ? ?

This forum is a nifty tool for communication and service to fellow humans.

May as well use it?

william muntz
  • 9/4/19 - 10:02PM

Be careful, Ive bought tickets from venues like Wells Fargo in Philly where you buy directly from them (not ticketmaster) and they send you tickets the day of the show so you can't resell them or they'll keep them at will call. Good chance you could get stuck. Haven't experience this with TM but wanted to give you a heads up. Make sure there's an option for "mail ticket" or at least read delivery method carefully

ReAnne Cram
  • 9/4/19 - 10:06PM

10-4. Totally!
I plan to make sure they are transferable/shareable... i had that option with my last TM purchase so ???

ReAnne Cram
  • 9/4/19 - 10:08PM

From TM website:

A ticket transfer allows you to transfer some or all of your tickets from your Ticketmaster account to another. It's easy, safe and completely free. Please note: not all orders are eligible for ticket transfers. You'll always see a “Transfer Tickets” button on your order.

;-}~

Alisa Taylor
  • 9/4/19 - 9:22PM

Wouldn't be an issue if they worded it correctly the first time. I joined in 2002 and am just as upset as the new members because they literally stated: Pre-sale tickets AS WELL AS the VIP tickets.

christopher mccarthy
  • 9/4/19 - 9:29PM

I agree with Alisa on this one. I've been a member since 2002 as well and I'm just fucking grumpy as fuck. She is correct in her statement about the onsale ticket information. Kinda expected this and it's happened before but it still stings. I never joined TOOL Army to meet people, I do that in life not on the internet. I just wanted a piece of paper that said I was special, and it's all because I failed Kindergarten and never recovered.

One
  • 9/4/19 - 10:35PM

  • 9/4/19 - 9:06PM

Lifetime memberships can't be renewed.

Jeffrey Laing
  • 9/4/19 - 10:52PM

This was a total scam. If they would have posted that the pre-sale tickets were only VIP tix that cost $500 each then thousands of people would not have paid the $50 membership fee. They knew what they were doing. Their marketing was vague for a reason. I intend on following through with a claim of return. I wouldn't be able to keep my mouth shut If I was put in front of them for the VIP meet and greet.

Fucking amazing album, love this band, 25+ shows for multiple decades, and this whole thing makes me as grumpy as an old man yelling at a cloud.

ReAnne Cram
  • 9/4/19 - 9:37PM

Adrienne, I was a wreck all morning and me and my fiancé were on edge the whole time. It took hours to get through. Wanted to get reg sale, used credit card for vip because we got miraculously through the mayhem. We decided since we got lucky, we’re gonna join the queue on Friday to buy what we can at the Brooklyn show with our remaining credit and share/sell/transfer them here on the thread with folks here that need them. In return the hope is that all will do their best to try the same tactic for more win-win-win action against bots.

SUPER hoping some more peeps can band together as a team and do the same on this forum. Especially folks that won today, if they can, it would be an awesome way to pay it forward.

So, that being said, if Brooklyn ain’t your show, ask for help to other peeps in your area on this thread, pool the WE-SOURCES and kill some bots! Let’s rally and help each other out here. No guarantee I’ll luck out in the Friday grind, but i am gonna try and share the love luck i got deemed today.

Fuckin miracle.

P.s. anyone with brooklyn vip have one for sale, my fiancé’s brother would love to be with us in VIP. Throwing a request out there to the crew ???

Adrienne Smidt
  • 9/4/19 - 8:47PM

Trying all day. Can’t log in

christopher mccarthy
  • 9/4/19 - 8:53PM

Don't hold your breath. You will be given a spot in "waiting room" with no indicator of time, then they will move you into the "purchasing line" but you can't buy tickets yet! Then and IF you get lucky they will tell you there are about 1,348 people in line ahead of you. If they don't buy ALL the tickets (which they will) you might get lucky and get nosebleeds. Then, IF you are REALLY lucky, and I mean REALLY REALLY lucky the sale will be completed without a "secondary device" , "firewall issue", or "cookies need to be cleared" message from Ticketbastard. So yeah, we might get tickets, maybe.

Ask me how I know, I've been buying tickets from Ticketbastard since the days of Filene's Basement and green computer screens, it gets worse every year and now seems like quarterly. Data mining and surge pricing have killed the ticket industry and it will not recover. All of the above happened to me trying to buy tickets for the Dead and Co. Halloween show, which I had tickets for but was not allowed to complete the purchase because of "secondary device" message from Tickebastard that I had NEVER seen before. Super sketchy, if I was an investigative journalist I could make my whole fucking career off this shit. Ticketbastard even upped the price of tickets in front of my eyes to "Account for Demand with pricing increases."

It is disheartening that Ticketmaster has ruined something so simple as buying a concert ticket. I am willing to pay a fair price for a good seat on Friday; nosebleeds aren't ideal mixed in with a 5 hour drive to Oklahoma. I really wish this was better prepared.

Tried. What a shit storm. By the time I could log in, tix were gonzo. Anybody wants to come off VIP for SLC, HIT ME UP. #feelsbadman hashtag.

Jeremy Onespace
  • 9/4/19 - 9:21PM

I saw them VIP in '16 when they were last here. Fucking worth it, no doubt. I blame all the fucking noob joins and fucking robots.

You were a noob once retard. Don’t be a dbag.

M-A Beauchamps
  • 9/4/19 - 8:28PM

Brutal way to treat people trying to force us $500 USD VIP tickets when it says that we where getting the possibility of obtaining regular tickets on pre-sale. Shame on TOOL for being a part of this.

  • 9/4/19 - 8:19PM

Been a Tool Army member since about 2002. I got crap merchandise that was uncomfortable and poorly made, the site stopped being updated a while ago, and the only time I thought I was going to be able to actually use it for something I was sadly disappointed and lied to. Super disappointed with Tool and OneLive Media. The post last week said Ticket Pre-sale AS WELL ASS VIP.

Alisa Taylor
  • 9/4/19 - 8:21PM

AS, not ass! LOL! Should put edit buttons on here.

christopher mccarthy
  • 9/4/19 - 8:23PM

Totally agree about the quality of merchandise decreasing. I have my original TOOL Army shirt from 2001 or 02, it's heavy cotton and still looks great. Bought a new one this year cause I lost some wait, and it is shoddy compared to the last one, cheap fabric too. All their shirts from the last few tours are super thin and shitty. The posters however have been top notch!

Jordan Cannon
  • 9/4/19 - 8:36PM

I joined in 2004. I remember it taking well over a year to get the package with the shirt. I was definitely not the only example of that. Wish I had a new shirt cuz mine got trashed yet I'm scared to order from their store from my previous experience. I cant even log in to the presales thing. Its crazy.

Dominic Tringali
  • 9/4/19 - 8:16PM

TA member since 2004. Tool is my favorite band. Period. But...
The VIP in the past included the session with Adam, which this doesn't happen. The sound check will not include MJK. $500.00 was a lot before but Adams session, sound check with the 3 guys and after the took the photo you could go up and shake the hand and the ticket made it tolerable. Plus you guys you all knew the website has sucked for a long time. Too bad this band doesn't get it......

mrmanback
  • 9/4/19 - 8:06PM

For real! Most of the bitching is from people who just barely joined to try to get presale tickets. #karma

Shawn Strout
  • 9/4/19 - 8:08PM

How do you barely join?

Deacon Mosley
  • 9/4/19 - 8:18PM

Expecting to receive what one was promised (or led to believe) and being upset when that doesn't happen after you've done your part isn't being a pussy or #karma smh.

christopher mccarthy
  • 9/4/19 - 8:19PM

Not really whining this was some messed up communication. They definitely made it seem like there would be both regular tickets and then VIP packages also available.

I've been seeing TOOL since before the Lateralus tour and got tickets to the Club Tour for 10,000 Days easier than this. The Club Tour was for the Boston Orpheum and I still got in after waiting in line outside the venue for the on-sales.

Ticketbastard being completely set up for scalpers and the ticketing secondary markets owned by the very companies that sell the tickets will enable surge pricing and maximizing profit. If griping about shady capitalism running rampant in every industry and frustration with the nickel and diming that is now shading every facet of daily life in America is whining, I guess I'm the Master of Bitching.

Henry Drake
  • 9/4/19 - 8:23PM

If someone offers to sell you a car and you pay for the car but they give you a grilled cheese sandwich instead, one tends to be angry. That's human nature, not being a whining pussy. Learn the difference...it's not hard.

christopher mccarthy
  • 9/5/19 - 2:07AM

No one expected a guaranteed ticket for being a member, I've never expected much of anything from anyone, except for my wife because I trust her with my life.

From the band all I expect is clear communication about details related to ticketing.

Feelings about the inherent vileness of capitalism and its horrifying effects on the human condition can be explored during the General Onsale on Friday as we try to deal with Ticketbastard.

Troy Shook
  • 9/5/19 - 2:14AM

Preface by saying I’ve been here since mid 90s. So what people joined just for tix. Doesn’t make them any less of a fan. That’s exactly why I joined way back when. You sound like a retard. Like someone that would get excited about VIP.

Joe Sipos
  • 9/4/19 - 7:58PM

Been a TA member since '01 and this was my first experience with a TA member pre-sale. I assumed it would be shit show like most others for a band of this ilk, and it was. Not pretty but I kept trying with 2 laptops and after about 30 minutes was finally able to get in and buy a ticket for both of my local shows. $517 is a hefty price but considering you're guaranteed a best seat in the house makes it somewhat palatable.

Shawn Strout
  • 9/4/19 - 8:04PM

* seat selection and location will vary by show

...you’ll be in the nose bleeds, you’ll get your picture taken with a picture of Maynard and you’ll get to meet a dude who knows a guy that met Adam Jones once...

That’s worst case scenario—I hope you have the experience you’re after though, for real. I struck out so I’m just bitter right now haha this was rolled out so poorly, it’s just so fackin disappointing.

Joe Sipos
  • 9/4/19 - 8:17PM

One (1) premium reserved ticket to see Tool live* - this is what i paid for. VIP seats for previous tours have been in the 1st 10 rows.

ReAnne Cram
  • 9/4/19 - 8:36PM

Congrats Joe! Hey Shawn, what city are you shooting for???

ReAnne Cram
  • 9/4/19 - 7:51PM

Hey, friends.

After hours of fumbling panic I managed to grab a couple VIP tix for me and my fiancé for the Brooklyn Show. I am amazed.

If we ALL don’t get a general ticket presale by Friday... I plan to climb in the main queue with y’all to purchase some GA tix on my credit card so I can offer some up for people here in the forum as a means of helping beat the bots and be a team player. I want to help everyone get their dreams met as best as possible.

Meanwhile, I am looking for one VIP ticket to Brooklyn so we can bring my fiancé’s brother with us. I’ll stoke him out with GA if I can’t find the VIP, assuming karma will grant me some GA team wins ???

Maybe if more peeps team up and communicate we can help one another get to the show!

:-) so much love to all of you :-)

?And May we all have success one way or another despite the stress of managing ticket acquisition...?

I promise I’ll do what I can to help everyone within purchase and my own credit card limitations...

Here we go ?

TOOL FAN
  • 9/4/19 - 7:57PM

I do not think there is a GA seating for this show. I am pretty sure that there is assigned seating on the floor similar to the lower to upper sections.

Tyler Kyllonen
  • 9/4/19 - 8:02PM

I have been messing around for a few hours. I am logged in the toolarmy page but the link takes me in circles. I can't even get past the login for the exclusive content. So frustrating

ReAnne Cram
  • 9/4/19 - 8:06PM

Ok, cool! Then I’ll shoot for floor. Thanks for the info on non-GA. I’ll still do my best to share what I can get with Interested Brooklyn folks ?

  • 9/4/19 - 8:06PM

I Would really appreciate any help in getting some tickets for Raleigh on 26th. I tried for hours to get a VIP today...

ReAnne Cram
  • 9/4/19 - 8:12PM

Any Raleigh homies in the house wanna help this cat out?! Especially peeps that already won their VIP today?

?

Dave Pirozzoli
  • 9/4/19 - 8:13PM

Please, that would be awesome. I'm headed to the Brooklyn show. I lived there for over 12 years and most of those years ( 1995 - 2008) I saw Tool every time they played in NYC. I hope to get two tickets. I've been a fan since 1992. The first show I saw was in 1996 the Aenima tour at the Roseland .... blew my mother f@##ing mind. I was hooked after that.

ReAnne Cram
  • 9/4/19 - 8:21PM

You got it Dave: you make efforts on your end too! That way we increase bot kills... if I win any, I’ll be making them available first come first serve and of course just wanna have the disgusting service charge included in the cost, cos we’re all eating that shit sandwich... I’ll be super transparent about cost on my side. Thanks for asking for help and being game to help out too! ???

Renea Bailey
  • 9/4/19 - 8:41PM

Thank you very nice of you! I'm going to be trying for Newark NJ show on Friday. But Brooklyn isn't THAT far from Newark! :) Just sayin'.....if I can't get Newark tickets, I may be interested...

ReAnne Cram
  • 9/4/19 - 8:55PM

Word! Same deal, Renea. If we all work to get as many as we can as share the winnings, its gonna be so much more fun! I’ll gladly share with you if you need and if I win some tix ?❤️?

Michael Hamel
  • 9/4/19 - 7:48PM

Huge disappointment in the way this was managed. Having an external link to deal with your main site issues is great and all. But not if that information is hidden until over an hour into the sale and the tickets your after are all gone by then. I tried logging in from 9:45am through noon local time and never got access. Epic Fail here admin.

Shawn Strout
  • 9/4/19 - 7:41PM

Welp, the boys said this album was about growing up and learning through experience—as someone who has been to 10+ shows and listened to their music for 27 years, I think I’ve learned that these 4 are more in touch with the cosmos than their own fans. Regardless, I LOVE the new album...but I think what I’ve learned through experience is that I’m not going to even attempt to go to another show. Sorry fellas, but don’t fist your fan base like you did today—absolute horse shit.

ALEXANDER BUCK
  • 9/4/19 - 7:48PM

Well said. I think most of us would agree with you. Unfortunately, the band doesn't give a shit.

Shawn Strout
  • 9/4/19 - 7:51PM

You sir, are correct haha so disappointing!

Stephen Bell
  • 9/4/19 - 7:52PM

I got the Pittsburgh tix for me and my son. Flying across the continent. Using Canadian loonies. Hotel, flights, and ticket cost - because? Cause its TOOL, and our time is finite.

ALEXANDER BUCK
  • 9/4/19 - 7:55PM

The boys lied, obviously the new album is about money. Even the CD was $50. At least give each TA member a first run CD since we already paid the worthless fee for years

ALEXANDER BUCK
  • 9/4/19 - 7:41PM

Thank you, Tool, for rewarding my 13 year wait and toolarmy membership fees with butt-rapingly high ticket prices and an inadequate website that rendered my early access privileges completely useless. You guys should have stayed in whatever legal or creative limbo you were stuck in for the last decade. What a bunch of fucking hypocritical crooks. You're worse than Nickelback, at least they knew what they were and embraced being sellout douche-bags. Music really is dead, even when the content is good, success turns artists in to money grabbing corporate stooges.

Sean Brabeau
  • 9/4/19 - 7:39PM

How do I at least get my merch. I haven't been given any instructions

ReAnne Cram
  • 9/4/19 - 7:44PM

With your tool army membership? I had an issue with that. Because they revamped the site in the last few months and the new album dropped, the staff are a bit overloaded. I emailed them and though it took a while for them to get me dialed in, we got it handled together and my info helped them with some programming ? bugs.

Hit up support and it’ll get handled. Send them your order/receipt number in the email with any helpful screenshots you might have of the issue. ?

David Miller
  • 9/4/19 - 7:33PM

So I login. I go to the presale link and it asks me to login or register. WTF.

Matthew Grandi
  • 9/4/19 - 7:32PM

I feel like this was a "bait and switch" which....really, is ridiculous. I joined in good faith based on the printed expectations of presale tickets being available. The VIP Experience, while I'm sure is great, is not what got me here. This is basically, a waste of $50.

TOOL, there was no reason for the sleight of hand. It's now taking advantage of our loyalty. It's messed up.

Steven Bouffard
  • 9/4/19 - 7:34PM

Tracey Lavoie
  • 9/4/19 - 7:39PM

Me too! Not gonna lie, kinda disappointed.....

Rami Sako
  • 9/4/19 - 7:41PM

Totally agree with you mate. I'm in the exact same situation. And what makes matters even worst for me, I did NOT get the code to redeem my TA Welcome gift. So basically I was just sacemd $50 by my favorite band

Eddie Cardwell
  • 9/4/19 - 7:31PM

I can’t believe the Raleigh NC VIP is sold out, but yet a place like Cleveland still had VIP available. lol. I REALLY want those Raleigh ones but I guess it’s already Sold out? How many are available per city? Like a dozen?

ReAnne Cram
  • 9/4/19 - 7:47PM

I think there will be more vip on Friday and if you can get to the venue box office for the line... you can cheat Ticketmaster’s Rape gloves of their “service charge”

Troy Shook
  • 9/4/19 - 7:28PM

I’m curious, exactly how many tix per show were set aside for paying TOOLARMY members? Doesn’t seem like many. Wouldn’t want the high and mighty to have to deal with too many common folk VIPs. But remember, if you fell for this, you’re very important.

JOSH GENDRON
  • 9/4/19 - 7:23PM

Really, announce the day before, that they are VIP only! And then, the day of, the site is smoked! WTF ! Cmon, management, IT ,whoever the hell is the Ring Leader in this circus needs to be evaluated! For the love of something truly amazing, make great music, sell some music, and merch, and enjoy, non of the bullshit! _--------- $500 and then shove this shit in there !

* seat selection and location will vary by show

** group photo will include some band members and will vary per show. There is no guaranteed meet + greet included with this offering!!

For $500 you should get a be certain to know what the hell you are paying for, not an fnnn disclaimer!

Steven Bouffard
  • 9/4/19 - 7:36PM

and non transferable-so i cant buy the tickets for my son who has to work-because hes not the purchaser!WTF!

  • 9/4/19 - 8:05PM

brandon cole
  • 9/4/19 - 7:42PM

No I got 2 for 1034.08 for Tulsa. But I backed the page that has the link to print ur receipt and can’t get back to it How do I get receipt. Do they send u a email ? I haven’t got one yet. Luckily I got a screen shot of my confirmation#

Jeffrey Brunson
  • 9/4/19 - 7:57PM

I printed out the receipt immediately, and then received an e-mail from OneLiveMedia saying that they created an account for me. Followed the link provided, entered a password, and there lives your "tickets", and order history. Maybe check your junk mailbox. Good luck. This has certainly been an adventure.

Michelle Abels
  • 9/4/19 - 8:06PM

Check your spam. I got email confirmation right away. Other people said they didn’t but was in their spam.

P.s. email comes from One Live Media

Javier Crespo
  • 9/4/19 - 7:18PM

So hyped for November! Can't believe I was lucky enough to get VIP passes.

Thank you bandwidth Gods!

Rami Sako
  • 9/4/19 - 7:09PM

OK LET ME START BY SAYING THAT I LOVE THE BAND AND I AM A HUGE FAN

BUT.......

this is very disappointing, I paid for the membership to get early ticket access. But no Gen Admission ticket just VIP and they are $500. and on top of that, I didn't even get the code to redeem my TA welcome gift. oh no, they want me to pay another $50.23 for the welcome gift on top of $50 that just pay for the membership. and don't even get me started with trying to get someone or a link or email for help (GOOD FUCKING LUCK WITH THAT) this is absolutely the worst e-commerce site I've ever seen, it is a complete scam.

I know this a far out there but I really hope that the band does something about their website because (OneLive Media) is absolute GARBAGE.

  • 9/4/19 - 7:26PM

amen

Steven Bouffard
  • 9/4/19 - 7:37PM

TRUTH!

Joleine Sigler
  • 9/4/19 - 7:43PM

Rami - You shouldn't have to pay another $50.23 for the gift, just the shipping. When you clicked on the "redeem" link in your email, it has a huge discount code that pays for everything but the shipping.

Rami Sako
  • 9/4/19 - 7:50PM

Joleine, Trust me I looked everywhere for that damn discount code with no luck. I even asked my friend to look at it ( in case if im missing something) and still we could NOT find it.

Renea Bailey
  • 9/4/19 - 8:45PM

TRUTH!!!!

Brian Robles
  • 9/4/19 - 11:29PM

I made the mistake of paying an extra 50 for my merch. But essentially you'll have to click on the "redeem your bundle" link. that link will show you a long string code. copy that link and select your size. Once you click redeem you'll see the $50 charge. At the top you'll see "order summary". Click on the down arrow and input your copied string there. Ta da!

Eric Miller
  • 9/4/19 - 7:09PM

This is absolutely bullshit! I paid for my membership, and I can't partake in the pre-sale benefits because of the clowns that ran the poorly managed site? This is worse that ticketmaster unloading tons of great seats to known resellers prior to anyone else getting them.

BRIAN MORRIS
  • 9/4/19 - 7:05PM

I got my 2 VIP tickets and couldn't be any happier! :)

Seth Van Heukelom
  • 9/4/19 - 7:05PM

How are tickets for StubHub Available but not on TicketMaster? They are not even supposed to go on sale for another 2 days!! Also missed out on VIP due to the site refreshing constantly.

Erin Hauser
  • 9/4/19 - 7:33PM

Speculative listing. The brokers are betting they can get those seats through deals with the venue.

Renea Bailey
  • 9/4/19 - 8:47PM

I looked at stubhub for the Newark show just out of curiosity(not planning to buy from there) and floor seats going for $1,000+ ?? WTH? Plus Newark show on TM says mobile ticket delivery only a week before the show so how do all these 3rd party scalpers get tickets for a show like this with mobile ticket delivery only?

David Anaya
  • 9/4/19 - 7:00PM

This was a complete disappointment and a waste of my fucking time. This was managed horribly. I can't believe the company in charge of this ticket distribution would be so incompetent.

Dan Klobucar
  • 9/4/19 - 7:01PM

It was so bad. No way to log in! Instead of all of the fun graphics, how about a functioning website.

Seth Boudreau
  • 9/4/19 - 7:11PM

It was chaos by the time i got through without everything crashing the only two shows available were both the ohio gigs and I am disabled and can't fly from CA to OHIO that easily not that I wouldn't be willing to pay airfare but it was a bummer, i think its awesome the band offers the vip experience just think the execution could of been better, I have faith that the non vip ticket sales will probably go smoother and good luck to all fans that attempt to purchase tickets when they go on sale. If there is a next time I wish the tool army site would post some more specific instructions and tips for how to best prepare agead of time to purchase but i guess all the info in the world won't help an overwhelmed supply channel.

Michael Dawson
  • 9/4/19 - 6:52PM

Stuck with login/no login BS. I login. I navigate to the pre-sale page. I'm prompted to login again. I login again. It then says I need to login to see content. Seriously BS. What a freaking cluster!!

James Gronen
  • 9/4/19 - 6:53PM

Me too.

  • 9/4/19 - 7:05PM

Alec Schneider
  • 9/4/19 - 7:10PM

Same here. I’d at least like a refund considering it’s the only reason I signed up for Tool army

Preston Laired
  • 9/4/19 - 7:37PM

Me too Wtf!!?? I must have tried logging in 200 times. Joined the tool army 6 months ago for this reason alone and this shit happens...beyond disappointed! The level of stupidity is astounding!

Susan Lucas
  • 9/4/19 - 8:13PM

I agree with everyone, what a disappointment, I have purchased fan club memeberships for other bands, and have gotten great seats, its the only way us mere mortals can score decent seats because of those evil ticket brokers. Tool Army total bust. Actually sad!!!!!!!

  • 9/4/19 - 6:48PM

I just want to get an idea of how many of us are in this same boat...

Paid $50 for the membership under the impression there would be other tickets other than VIP for presale

Also never got their merch included with the membership?

What a racket, i understand the need to make money, but this feels like a classic bait and switch...

David Dodson
  • 9/4/19 - 6:51PM

Same for me. The website was down for hours and once I got it everything close to me was sold out.

Brandon SanGiovanni
  • 9/4/19 - 6:57PM

Same, unfortunately

  • 9/4/19 - 7:00PM

So i finally figured out how to at least redeem my membership merch, but this still doesn't change the fact that the news release said there would be tool army pre-sale tickets as well as vip..... that's a straight up lie

Jason Rodriguez
  • 9/4/19 - 7:02PM

Would you have paid $500 per ticket? That's what they were selling for. I was able to get in and Arizona show still had tickets. I love Tool but I can think of better things to do with $1000

  • 9/4/19 - 7:05PM

Same...swag with signup better be worth it...unless it's just pictures of t-shirts. Good luck to all aiming for tix Friday...

Jacob Tower
  • 9/4/19 - 7:06PM

Yup, I paid $50 for the chance to purchase tickets from the band, NOT scalper/scammers after the concert sells out instantaneously. The wording led us to believe this would be regular ticket sales AND VIP sales, to find out today that the only option is the $500 VIP package. Even if I wanted to spend that much on these tickets, the website went down shortly before the sale started, only to come back online with everything sold out.
So then I think, well.. I guess I overpaid for a t-shirt and the other merch promised to the fanclub membership, then i find out that that ALSO is not true, any merch has an additional cost!
$50 spent on NOTHING.
This was an honest attempt to purchase tickets in a way in which all the money would go to the band, not ticket scalpers, only to be screwed by my favorite band directly.... that's the worst part.

  • 9/4/19 - 7:07PM

I paid almost 300 to see them in 2016 because i didn't find out there were coming to my town until after all the tickets sold out, I'm willing to pay when it's my own mistake, but i paid $50 specifically because the site said there would be tickets for tool army members "as well as VIP tickets available" wtf. anyway all the vip tickets for my city were gone as soon as the website was functional for me. this blows and I'm pissed.

Josh Granville
  • 9/4/19 - 7:11PM

Same here. Shit doesn’t work. Thanks a bunch dudes

Blake Sanders
  • 9/4/19 - 7:27PM

Same.

No code on the "REDEEM" page.

  • 9/4/19 - 7:30PM

how did you get your merch? at least i can salvage something out of this scam.

  • 9/4/19 - 7:36PM

Same. Website was a mess, didn't work, when it finally did work it looked like all you could chose was VIP packages, I was like "Whatever. I'm an adult with money! Take it Tool!" And when I tried to log in on the "Exclusive" part of the website it wanted me to log in over and over and over again (mind you, I was already logged in). Total bull$hit.

Adam Dagna
  • 9/4/19 - 7:38PM

Same here. I wish they had been up front about only having VIP tickets for members. From the press I read it didn't give any indication that it was VIP only. It just said "early access to tickets". They should have been more transparent. Oh well, their cash grab worked I suppose, good for them.

David Horvath
  • 9/4/19 - 8:50PM

Same here bro. Looks like we all just paid $50 to get reemed in the ass. I wonder how much money tool army made in the last 2 days going elbow deep inside our behinds. What a bunch of bullshit.

  • 9/5/19 - 1:59AM

For anyone that signed up and didn't get their Merchandise -

check your email and spam, search tool, and you should find an email with the subject saying "thanks for signing up for tool army" and at the bottom of that email it will say "redeem your bundle" that'll take you to a link with the code you need to copy as well as a shirt size option, click the redeem link and go through the checkout, at the end paste your code, it'll remove the cost BUT you will still have to pay for shipping which blows.

Hopefully this helps someone, sorry for the lengthy directions, just want to be clear. Good luck with tickets Friday, we are all gonna need it.

Barret Baumgart
  • 9/4/19 - 6:39PM

my comments are in line with many members here... lifetime fan, favorite band.... i pay for this membership to ensure tickets then i'm stuck all morning in this feedback loop unalbe to log in. logging in again and again to no avail... going nowhere. feels a lot like the end of salival L.A.M.P. or whatever, just clicking buttons. going nowhere. very disappointing and disrespectful to fans. i don't imagine tool wants there website to crash and fans to be unable to log in and purchase tickets. nonetheless very amateaurish and disrespectful, not to mention fraudlaent at this point. a scam. i may consider skipping the show altogether at this point. very disappointing.

I joined ToolArmy. I got my VIP ticket today. Hell Yeah! It was a wait. Took about 35 minutes to get into the site. I was worried wasn’t gonna happen!

How did you do this? Like, how did you actually get into the site? Via phone? PC?

Paul Catanzaro
  • 9/4/19 - 6:51PM

I clicked in at 10am and went right through by way of refresh and grabbed a pair. took 4 minutes. From what Im reading, and aside from the financial part, luck was on my side

Yvon Richard
  • 9/4/19 - 7:46PM

I was really lucky too. I was done buying my 2 VIP ticks at 10:01AM. I had the 2 toronto dates open an hour before it launched and my F5 game was on point 5 minutes before it went live. I'm sad for all the ppl who got screwed though. Hope everyone can score good tickets for the shows this fall! Spiral out!

Michelle Abels
  • 9/4/19 - 8:33PM

I opened the page to buy tickets and logged in last night, left my tab open and this morning went right to the tab and had no problems, didn’t have to go in through the link on the crashed website cuz it was already still open. Didn’t even do that on purpose but glad I did, got 2 tix for Chicago.

So is their any customer service phone number or email anywhere? I just paid 50 bucks for this membership 2 days ago and what a disaster. We have all been mislead. I have been in other fan clubs and while their were issues here and there nothing close to this bad.

Michael Tumino
  • 9/4/19 - 6:35PM

Can I get my 50 bucks back please? The band talks about "the music" all the time I didn't think they were out to just take our money for something other than the music.. I read that ticket pre-sales were today. Never read anything about VIP tickets. I am just a jerk off construction worker so I can't afford 500-1000 dollars for concert tickets and even if I could your site sucks such big dick I wouldn't have even been able to by them anyways. Whatever, I'll just stick to shelling out money for music haven't got screwed on that yet.

Hector Lopez

This is very misleading and disappointing. So because their site is down we paying members don't get the presale access we paid for? We just got scammed. Disputing my membership charge to my credit card since I didn't get what I paid for.

Yannick Brunet
  • 9/4/19 - 6:25PM

This is absolutley tragic. I hope someone takes your asses to court for the false advertisement. You guys literally fucked over your fans. How could you even do that to your loyal fan base ?

Eddie Cardwell
  • 9/4/19 - 6:20PM

So why does sites like Stubhub already have a LOT of tickets for re-sale at crazy prices? Looks like the bots are already filling the arena. At this point I’m almost about to say fuck it and just not even bother to go see Tool live. ?

Danny Stratton
  • 9/4/19 - 6:34PM

tickets havent gone on sale yet, and those resale sites put up prices without even having a ticket in hand yet. so, just got to be quick to tbe draw on friday morning and hope for the best. tickets may be pricey, but not stubbhub and vividseats pricey.

George Odle
  • 9/4/19 - 6:35PM

I think those sites pre-sale the tickets before they have access to them - assuming that they will be able to buy them. If they do, you get the ticket you bought from them. If they don't, you get an apology e-mail. There's some weasel language in the fine print about "not being able to guarantee exact seat". If they already had the ticket, guaranteeing the exact seat would be pretty easy.

Saw a write-up about it somewhere - 'cause I was wondering the same thing you were. I'm sure some of the VIP package tickets are on those sites - but they've had tons of tickets "for sale" since the tour was announced.

John Milone
  • 9/4/19 - 6:13PM

So all of the VIP shows are sold out already? I've been trying to gain access since 10:00 AM and toolband.com has been down.
What a bummer.

Matt Jones
  • 9/4/19 - 6:22PM

The Ohio shows and Milwaukee are still available.

Justin Mortimer

I'm absolutely gutted that I couldn't snag a pair since the website has been down! Son of a &*$%&!!

John Milone
  • 9/4/19 - 7:41PM

I have been on this site for hours and it wouldn't load. When it finally did all shows were sold out. Now we can only see the DC show and it's sold out too. So disappointing, I have been wanting these VIP tickets for years and the website has to fuck up the day we need it.

Lee Hunter

So are they already sold out?

  • 9/4/19 - 6:06PM

So, I'm a lifetime ToolArmy member, since 2002 (or 2003, i forget). Anyway, it's not letting me login to the VIP pre-sale... Do I really have to purchase ANOTHER membership? I purchased the Lifetime Vulnerable membership WAAAAAY back in the day for $99. It shows I'm logged in, but can't access this pre-sale stuff. WTF???

Jessica L. Zanetta
  • 9/4/19 - 6:10PM

I am not able to log in either, just a log in loop!

***If you are an existing Tool Army member who purchased BEFORE November 2015, your membership will be honored and you do not need to purchase again***

But yet, it won't let me login to the Pre-sale. I've never before been so disappointed.

David Turpin
  • 9/4/19 - 6:04PM

IMPORTANT QUESTION FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE DONE VIP. - Do you get better seats if you show up and get in line earlier? Or do they distribute them randomly? So basically can I show up at the time they say or should I get in line 2 hours earlier so that I have better seats or do they not care about the lineup day of show?

Brad Lambert
  • 9/4/19 - 6:55PM

For what it’s worth I went vip in Sacramento a few years ago. We waited around a bit but a group of 75-100 I would guess got a talk of 90 minutes to 2 hours from Adam including him playing parts of songs and demonstrating technique and even some q&a. Then soundcheck with the band, no Maynard, then a pic with them sitting among us in the seats. And seats were first 2 rows and exclusive to vip. Mine were directly in front of Justin. And there was a gift bag. It was worth every dime of my $500 and I really hope to do it again. But yeah this is frustrating and disappointing.

David Turpin
  • 9/4/19 - 8:01PM

Thanks for your info Brad, I think they hand out the tickets first come first served in line right? So if you are there early you get 1st row instead of 2nd?

Philip Dickler
  • 9/5/19 - 11:31PM

I was fortunate enough to purchase a VIP ticket while at work on my phone.
However, the only proof I have is the partial screenshot I saved. A confirmation email would be nice.
There is supposed to be free parking, but if my ticket is at will call, how does that Work?

  • 9/4/19 - 6:12PM

Has to be some type of false advertising in anticipation of getting tickets for resale? I checked out a bunch of the tour dates, and they apparently have tickets listed for every concert in every city I would say! That's Fucked!!!!

Eddie Cardwell
  • 9/4/19 - 6:23PM

Sadly these ticket sites have their hands in a lot of these “resale tickets”. You ever wonder how a show or a Pro Game sells out within 5 minutes and tickets are all insanely expensive resales? It’s because those ticket sites have bots and deals to claim a lot of those tickets.

aubrey graf daniels
  • 9/4/19 - 6:31PM

Got all the way to check out.
Floor seats, middle section, row 13. Just not going to spend the $1,980 for 2 tickets. Didn't press purchase.
I mean.
I am soooo incredibly disappointed.
I really hope Friday is better, but I am beginning to lose faith.

Your advertising was very misleading. Your wording led thousands to believe that we would have access to regular tickets. Not the kind of advertising I would expect from Tool. But hey I got a t shirt, I just feel like I've been played by a hooker with a penis.

Chris Rydstrom
  • 9/4/19 - 5:50PM

I hear that! I don't want or need a freaking button or t shirt- I wanted access to pre-sale tix, NOT a $500 VIP package! I wish I could get my money back. What a joke.

Maybe they may offer regular tickets tomorrow. At least I'm hoping anyway.

Jenna Braunstein
  • 9/4/19 - 5:33PM

This is super disappointing. A pre-sale for regular tickets would be very appreciated especially since you kinda insinuated that's what this would be with your vague wording. Also phrasing like "for more than casual fans of the band" is super insulting. Level of fandom is not predicated by wealth.
Much love,
A frustrated and broke more than casual fan

  • 9/4/19 - 5:58PM

This is exactly how I feel. This blows, I never even got my shirt or whatever bullshit is supposed to come with this membership.

David Pell

  • 9/4/19 - 6:22PM

Same shit as everyone above. Is there a way to report them to the BBB? We need to have some recourse for being ripped off in this way.

  • 9/4/19 - 6:34PM

honestly worth a shot. not sure if their news release mentioned specially that it was only the VIP tickets available, and the stuff with the shirts and the memberships is downright just theft on their part. the fuck, thought tool would be above this kind of fine print scam, guess i was wrong about my favorite band..

Mmmm, paid $50 for exclusive pre-sale access. 24 hours before providing said access, they announce it's for the $500 VIP tickets nobody fights over anyway. If u wanna cough up $550 for "possibly getting a photo with SOME of the band" at your show, I'd say have at it, but also the site is now hammered and broken, so you can't. Quite the VIP experience. Signing up for the ACTUAL Army also gets you a patch and a sticker, but at least Uncle Sam doesn't charge you $50 for the privilege.

Justin Carlson
  • 9/4/19 - 2:35PM

I paid the $50 registration fee for early access presale tickets. The site is unusable and the only "tickets" are $500 VIP Packages. Is that right?

Feels like I wasted time and money since I am trying to use this broken site looking for non-VIP tickets which non't actually exist. This could have been worded much clearer: Description reads: "The news arrives as the band announces a six-week North American tour, launching the trek on Oct. 13 at the Aftershock Festival. Tickets are on-sale Sept. 6 at 10 am local time, with a limited number of tickets will be available to Tool Army members on Sept. 4. Tool Army information, as well as VIP package details, can be found via Toolband.com."

There is apparently a surge of other people looking for these tickets. Damn.

Daniel Gould
  • 9/4/19 - 1:56PM

  • 9/4/19 - 1:40PM

OK - old dude fan here -
I have been lucky enough to see TOOL 8 or 10 times - last tour I saw I had a back injury - could not mosh on the floor at the Palms. If I BUY a VIP pass it will be my 1st ever - and I have seen at least 200+ concerts ( 100+ Just the Dead ) - If I buy a VIP it will be my retirement show - my last concert ever. I am retiring - love live music but is such a bad fuck sometimes - security, money, ( I got tossed from Boston Garden once during tools opening song - yea its still the garden - TD can suck my dick. I am not a fan boy - I dont really care to meet a band member unless that person wanted to meet me. I already met Maynard - I asked him one question - "going to Burningman this year" ... he said "NO" - so if I do this thing its a once in a life treat - I will sacrifice a few things and work a few extra days in trade. I understand the outrage and if you feel you were lied to then you should protest and ask for $$ back. But I am sure that the band members do not sit around and think about how to pluck the sheeple out of a few more shekels - compared to TM and CID who are money grabbing whores.

Benjamin Molnar

I just wanted to buy tickets at face value and not at 500% markup because some bot herding asshole bought every last ticket before I could even click the "buy" button. Seems I'm going to be doing that one way or another.

Is anyone else thinking of that scene from So I Married an Axe Murderer when Mike Myers (as his dad) is describing how he hates Colonel Sanders because he's addicted to his chicken? I feel like this band goes out of their way to make you love them and hate them at the same time.

Yep. People with artistic integrity can be total capitalist pigs. Weird but true.

Maybe if we play Fear Inoculum in reverse it will reveal a presale code...

So, I used to think it was funny that back in the 90's everyone was running around with a shirt on it that just said 'Tool'...

This bait & switch drives the point home.

It's hard to believe from the wording of the initial announcement that they don't release Tool Army access to basic level tickets at some point. Maybe just doing the VIP first. There's a lot of moving parts to the tour so I understand why it feels a bit mercurial. Regardless, the VIP ticket is still a good deal given the resale price of good seats. I've done them twice and have enjoyed them immensely.
