Let’s see… not to be obvious but the album hasn’t revealed itself in my opinion, it will probably take about 7 years before it starts sounding good to me according to Maynard’s insight. A lot has changed in the world from when 10,000 Days was released to the date of Fear Inoculum’s release. We all know what’s changed, a lot obviously. Well shit, things change so quick these days I really don’t even see the point of trying to keep up with the times, lol. Well, Fear Inoculum…
Hey TOOL Merch! ... who's packaging your Fear Inoculum Vinyl shipments for Amazon? Because they aren't doing you any favors. My Vinyl arrived with absolutely NO bubble wrap or cushioning at all, bouncing around in the cardboard box getting small dents and the shrink wrap getting marred. TOOL obviously created a very high quality item and wanted it to be appreciated for decades and someone isn't even taking a small step to protect this excellent piece of artwork. I've worked in many warehouses and I always stuff that box full of whatever is needed to keep things from moving around inside.
I had mine delivered to an Amazon locker and was shocked to see the Deluxe Vinyl no longer secured in the box. The box was open on both sides and one corner was dented. I've had the same issue ordering books from Amazon, they arrive in bubble wrap dented.
I request that TOOL merch secure their items in boxes that will then be boxed again by Amazon, thank you.
It finally happened.. the Fear Inoculum limited edition vinyl.. gladly made the split-second decision just now to drop a considerable sum of cash and pre-order this (as I had said I would) but let me ask something.. I get merch emails for pillows and hoodies and blankets and all kinds of things all the time, but I DON"T GET AN EMAIL ABOUT THIS?!?! I would have been crushed had I missed out on this!!
Otherwise, the show in Philly was amazing, hands down the best live experience I've had to date. Thank you for coming around again, here's a small humble token of my appreciation for this incredible music:

Please...An all 100% analog, 2 LP 180 grams of high quality DEAD QUITE vinyl pressed by people like RTI, Quality Record Pressings, Intervention Records.... Put all the money into making this the best sounding vinyl and put it in quality sleeves in a simple gatefold cover with cool pictures on it. Dont need bells and whistles....Make it sound beautiful. Make the critics and record reviewer gurus shit their pants...please.
my band treeslug is looking for members in the puget sound area!! (ages 16-19) if you are a drummer and/or a vocalist and you like bands like tool, soundgarden, alice in chains, sleep, etc... hit us up

Hi, tired and abused by tiredness and disbelief.
Coming from the land of where Spotify was born and developed, I'm tired of being tired. I'll pay just about anything for a truly honest non-bootlegged vinyl issue of Fear Inoculum.
Wouldn't it be possible to set aside a few copies for us (long time) TOOLARMY members instead of having us chasing for shit and dust just because we are on a different side of the pond between Europe and the US? Just a thought, but I don't blame anyone for not caring anyhow.
Same here. It must be funny to Tool members that fans have been bitching for years about them going digital and entering the 21st century, and now that they have, we’re bitching about them going back to the 20th century and releasing everything on vinyl!
That is sort of true. With ONLY exception being AEmina, ALL of TOOL's music has been primarily digitally released... being as that a CD is a "digital" medium. Only with the recent release of the 24 bit FLAC files have we ever really heard what these albums can sound like (again, AEnima being the exception).
Our present desire for vinyl LPs is so that we can hear this music at it's best.
Hopefully, we'll get a TOTALLY ANALOG transfer from the 3" tape that Fear Inoculum was recorded and edited on!
Hi?♂️!! I have a question..( i also don’t know exactly where to write it in, so i‘ll just try it here & hope that someone who is ignorant can help me?). „No quarter“ by „Led Zeppelin“ or „You Lied“ by „Peach“ are very well known & also available on vinyl/cd. „tool“ already had „demon cleaner“ by „kyuss“ in there setlist.. is there also a recording on vinyl/cd & there is that to buy?! (sorry for my english..google translator) Thanks in advance..wish you a good time! Greetings from Germany! Bleibt geil? Torsten
Hi terry! Thank you for your answer („you lied“ & „no quarter“ on „Salival“ is i knew..i probably expressed myself incomprehensible..sorry!) Actually i wanted to know if „demon cleaner“ from „Kyuss“,the „tool“ live have already played (-> can be seen on a YouTube video), is available on vinyl/cd?!
In other words..: is there „demon cleaner“ (from „Kyuss“) who played „tool“ live on a „tool“ cd/vinyl?! ( i think that is only available on an unofficial version/bootleg)
Found it boring and stock Tool. I'm not a Tool fan as much as I am a fan of music; what I perceive as good music. This isn't good imo, I love everything they've done up to and including Lateralus. 10,000 in large part sounded like an album that almost any metal band could have written. Yes some progression was there but so much phoned in stock metal on that record.
Anyway, I hope they find themselves again. I see this record kind of like the last Faith no More record.... dusting off the cobwebs, blowing out the lines. I know you all seem to think Christ has returned in the form of this record....I simply disagree. I believe FNM felt they were making a great new start as there is passion and evidence of effort all throughout; This record feels lazy to me.
Let's start with FNM. I'm a big fan but unfortuatly, Jim's departure was the beginning of the end there. Of course everyone is can have an (albeit ill informed) opinion, only a lazy listener would think this was remotely lazy. Certain riffs and certain signatures have been repeated from other songs but I believe that was intentional. I will admit that I am personally not huge on the tidbits but I probably would have preferred another actual song instead. Lastly, listen to it with headphones versus through a speaker. I hope that hearing those nuances change your mind. Cheers from Canada!
Along comes Fear Inoculum...finally. 80 something minutes of music that seems to pick up where 2001's ultra psychedelic prog masterpiece Lateralus left off. The new tracks, all around 10 minutes+ in length, are consistent yet daring...usually grounded by low level off tempo dirge progressive rhythms that stretch out far and wide. It's a little more earthy and scientific and not so much psychedelic like Lateralus. The lyrics, which I never delve into, seem to be of a self conscious sociological warning of things, and of course are somewhat about self awareness expansion. There is perhaps only one track in this that i consider filler. The recording and mix by Joe Baressi (no doubt having met the band through their mutual Melvins connections) is exquisite...he really comes into his own; a perfect mix of high resolution and midlevel graininess with at times obscurely treated vocals that are subjective responses to what is being sung about at the time. The sound mix is a combo of hardrock conventions and filmic intellectual progressive space rock punk. It marks a new departure of Baressi and puts him into a whole new league of uber-professional 'out-there' sound engineers. His use of shredding amplification, revamping and pedal effects treatments are sonically tasty, especially when juxtaposed with direct input recording techniques. The singer and lyricist Maynard James Keenan really hits upon some weird trippy melodies, expressionistic and eerie, especially in tracks like "Pneuma". The final track "7empest" hits upon old school adrenal pineal gland stimulating ultra-futuristic primal punk aggression and is another rythmic favourite on the album...it also gives a big nod of affection to their well-known musical inspiration, the classic progressive rock band King Crimson- especially with the 1980s Robert Fripp & Adrian Belew guitar style intro that Adam Jones dials up and draws in, preparing listeners to hear an all out energetic rhythmic shredding metalesque supernova of a number. All in all this album is a drawn out progressive earthy drama journey- rustic, yet with technical timing perfection. It very well makes up for the eon between records and the aformentioned musical novice-like disappointment of its 2006 predecessor. It's a listening "experience" as all Tool records are, making for many many multiple listens so as to always pick up on something new each time, and stamps the band as true solid consciousness-driven artists...painters of sound, with driving pounding beats that open up new frequency paths in the brain and still does the old school raising of hair on the arm coupled with cosmic nervous system chills. Its thinkingpersons' hard rock music at its finest. Indescribable for the most part in fact. Turn on, tune in and think beyond!
Oh, and I do suggest also purchasing the high resoltion/hi res fidelity 24 bit/96kHz downloadable version from hdtracks.com , acousticsounds.com or qobuz.com. The sound mastering is like an advanced-designed architectural cinema/movie theater effects far-out soundfield theme park...instruments lurk on ceilings and behind walls at times, expanding the listening environment into one that is alien- advanced in nature. Although you'll find that when playing the 16 bit 44.1khz cd through modern receivers with upscaling and enhancement codecs etc that its a close enough rich listening experience to that of the 24 bit master version. It may even fool some on a listening blind test being told that they're listening to a true 24/96 flac or aiff file..try putting on a "front surround" or some kind of other pseudo surround setting...its a whole new way to experience the songs like it's the first listen. Its a testament to the great uber-high tech production and mixing skills with super-advanced technology we now have at our fingertips, brains and ears these days. Do get this limited edition packaged first edition along with the expanded book/cd coupling....the images subjectively and maybe objectively/intentionally assists the viewer
not just the listener, in further interpreting the respective songs much better as it'll yield the development of a vastly more open mind. It'll likely unleash previously unused and undiscovered brain chemicals that'll flood and attach to your dopamine receptors and cerebellum and cause for you, the listener, to voyage to the infinite recesses of the brain where infinite quantum neurons fire and advanced biochemically coated electric ear cochlea receive signals from another galaxy and tap into the ultra exotic electrical current running through guitarist adam Jones's and bassist justin chancellor's biomechanoid phasing effects pedals and amps, with resonating micro porous echoes that echo within the echoes emanating from the futuristic biological drum skins of drummer danny carey. Spaciousness from the beyond. Tool is the modern Stanley Kubrick or early Pink Floyd of current modern music.
Listening to all of you whining is the exact reason JMK did not want to go digital with any of this. You sit back like a keyboard commando and complain. STFU and just be glad you have this moment. Stay in your lane and just do your thing and let Tool do theirs. #proudtoolarmymember ✌️
MJK, well I feel that having joined the tool army and still not received my kit sucks, im complaining because I paid for the membership and 46 and two dollars for a shipping fee plus redeem bundle 6.68 and I joined in September 2019 I feel that this site could offer a little more to the members, I have received several emails stating that this site I run by a small intimate staff and that they are trying to send out the kits as soon as possible. by the time I get this it will be time to renew my membership gawd, well cheers
I hope all of u tool army crybabys DONT renew ur membership so I dont have to hear about it when I click on the 'album' link lmao-I mean seriously?! "I DIDNT GET MY MEMBERSHIP KIT..CRY, CRY CRY"
JUST CHILL TF OUT: its coming...
I mean all this cry baby bs over a shirt, patch and a fucking keychain?!
Jc
Yeah whatever happened to this place. I'm one of those grandfathered in to a lifetime membership. I hope they at least try to work on the resale issue and do some fan presales again. I was staking out ticketmaster and it took me an hour to get a nosebleed seat in a city that was 2 away from the closest to me and ended up unable to go because I couldn't get enough time off work to travel there. Hope you're listening guys.
SHERRY C. SERIOUSLY ??? I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED BUT TO HAVE SOME BS WITH TICKETMASTER AND YOUR NOT GOING. ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FUCKING MIND. THE SHOW WAS INCREDIBLE. I SAW THE SHOW 2XS ALREADY AND WOULD GLADLY GO TO ANOTHER IF THE OPPORTUNITY PRESENTS. YOU WANT TO HEAR A STORY. I GOT SOLD A SCAM TICKET FOR $150 IN BROOKLYN. SO AFTER TICKET TAKER SAID COUNTERFIT. I RAN BACK OUTSIDE AND BOUGHT ANOTHER TICKET FOR $150. I WAS NOT GOING TO CRY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET AND SAY POOR ME, LIFE IS SO UNFAIR. I GOT MY ASS UP GRABBED ANOTHER TICKET, YES TAKING A CHANCE BU T THIS TIME THE SCALPER CAME WITH ME TILL I GOT IN. I MADE SURE MY ASS WAS IN THERE TO SEE THAT FUCKING SHOW. AND MY GOD, INCREDIABLE. NOT TO BRAG, BUT IM IN MY 50S AND IVE SEEN OVER 200 CONCERTS AND THAT WAS IN THE TOP 10. THE SONGS, SOUND, VISUALS, LAZERS AND THE CROWD LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT. HEY IM ONLY A TOOL FAN SINCE AUGUST SINCE NEW ALBUM CAME OUT WHICH IM IN LOVE WITH AND I KNEW I HAD TO SEE THAT SHOW. I FEEL REAL BAD FOR YOU IF U LET SOME BULLSHIT GET IN THE WAY OF SEEING A CLASSIC SHOW.
anyone receive their order from the second release of the album??? When I ordered it said they would be shipping at the end of September but I haven't received any notifications yet.
Not yet...only an email message stating that they are a "small company with a small staff that is processing orders around the clock in effort to get them out". Wondering if I'll ever see it...
I wonder why they left out the segues. They're obviously an important part of the album. Including the fact that "Litanie Contre La Peur" Is a palindrome. It plays exactly the same played in reverse. And the segues in general tie the album nicely together, I feel.
ABSOLUTLY!!! THIS NEW ALBUM MADE ME A TOOL FAN AND I CANNOT STOP SINGING THE SONGS TO MYSELF OR IS THE ONLY THING I PUT ON SINCE AUGUST. IT IS AN ABSOLUTE CLASSIC!! I HAVE TO TELL YOU MY OPINION, THIS NEW ALBUM IS THERE BEST YET. I JUST RECENTLY WENT THRU THERE CATALOG AND NOT HEARING MUCH OF THE PRIOR, THEI ALBUM RULES!!! PNEUMA IS BEAUTIFUL. DECENDING IS A CLASSIC WHICH COULD EASILY BE PUT ON CLASSIC ROCK RADIO. INVINCABLE CALMING TO HEAVY, I LOVE IT. THERE IS NOBODY LIKE THEM. I WISH I WOULD HAVE FOUND THEM EARLIER. PEACE
Yeah same here I tried joining In May paid money through this site. I’m on site, but no mention about what size free stuff needs to be in. We reapplied in June. Still nothing & have found its hard to get in contact with operators of this site.
Been listening to my download up to four times a day since it’s release still not sick of it. But would love to know where I can get my hands on a CD ? to add to my collection Down here in South Australia ??
This album is incredible
Sooo great that I can't buy the physical CD anywhere in New Zealand
Not upset though, just blown away!
Got blown all the way to this site and finally subscribed
I paid the money purely for presales to the live show when they inevitably bring the tour to NZ
Thanks for everything Tool :P
Love you all!
Including whoever is reading this right nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnow!
I am fucking angry because a bunch of assholes on eBay are selling the Tool CD for $500, $1500 and $10000 dollars. That is outrageous. We waited a lifetime for Tool to release this album only for them to release a very small amount. And the people that managed to get their hands on the album put them up for sale probably don't know or care about Tool. They are just in it for the money. But it is almost impossible for the band to screen people as to who is sincere and who's not . It would be a form of discrimination IF they did the screening. I wanted the album in a CD format because I could't think of better way to hear ANY album then driving in you're car with undivided attention solely on the music. Now I have to wait to see if the band decides to release more CD's or if there going to have to think of a creative way to put out the CD. There is just no way around it. We waited a long time for this album (maybe I have no life) but it angers me down to the core because its almost as though you can't get you're hands on it.
RUSH has existed as long as I have been alive and no longer will be making music together. I saw them 7 times That is disheartening to me. They were a VERY special band. Tool is a very special band too and when a band makes high-quality music you never want the band to end. Bands like Tool DON"T exist anymore.......I just wish they had put out another album. (sorry its just how I feel). We are on borrowed time with Tool. After they disband there will be nothing left....
Dude, go on discogs.com-u can grab one for 85-100$ depending on whether u want it sealed or not... I completely 10,000% agree with u on everything u said, Tool is a dying breed
I discovered Tool in 1996 in Phoenix, so some could say I'm late to the game, but I think 23 years of dedication is good enough. There's not band like Tool. There are many great bands, but there's only one Tool!
See you guys in Raleigh, NC. Only took about 15 minutes to sell that place out! After a washout in Rockingham, NC at the Epicenter Festival, seems about on par.
I have been a tool fan since I saw them in 1992 at lollapalooza. Every album tool has released has been fucking awesome. I can't wait to see them on Halloween! Fuck, here we go again!

Once upon a time, there was a ToolArmy message board. Now we have a "comment on this album" section.
Agreed. I miss all that ToolArmy had to offer long ago.
It was the shiznit back in the day
Yeah whatever happened to this place.
I too was screwed by ticketmaster for seats, I wont be attending this tour unfourtunatly.

Same here
Curious myself.
Not yet...only an email message stating that they are a "small company with a small staff that is processing orders around the clock in effort to get them out". Wondering if I'll ever see it...
Still nothing......

I wonder why they left out the segues. They're obviously an important part of the album. Including the fact that "Litanie Contre La Peur" Is a palindrome. It plays exactly the same played in reverse. And the segues in general tie the album nicely together, I feel.

7empest must be just that........

So why can't i find the new album on this site?
Yes.... I would buy the album RIGHT now.

Love it. Well worth the wait. Can't stop listening to it.
Agreed
PEACE
welcome to our world!

Such a bad ass album. i'm waking up every night with this playing in my head.
RIGHT ON BROTHER!
Thank you guys. Keep going and spiral out. Loving Fear Inoculum
Loving it still, non-stop loving it.
Best album ever...❤️
❤
I can’t wait for vinyl release!!!! This album is AMAZING! Something I’ve been missing for a long time. Perfect timing. Love it!
Where is tool membership page and how do you sign out ? Been 3 weeks since I joined til army and still no free stuff
How long does it take.
4-6 weeks I believe. I recently joined too and didn't hear a word until one day I received an email about my swag.
Yeah same here I tried joining In May paid money through this site. I’m on site, but no mention about what size free stuff needs to be in. We reapplied in June. Still nothing & have found its hard to get in contact with operators of this site.
You get a random email after joining, try going back and searching through your email that's what I had to do
Descending could go down as TOOLs greatest song! I guess 7empest could too and Pneuma! Damn this album is a masterpiece!
That's what I've been saying. Shattered all of my expectations, picked the pieces up, glued them back together, and then shattered them again.
Been listening to my download up to four times a day since it’s release still not sick of it. But would love to know where I can get my hands on a CD ? to add to my collection Down here in South Australia ??
Try Amazon...very expensive though...
great stuff.
SMELLS LIKE SUCCESS!
Keep ya chin up X
Great things are coming!
Dude, go on discogs.com-u can grab one for 85-100$ depending on whether u want it sealed or not... I completely 10,000% agree with u on everything u said, Tool is a dying breed
I feel you bro. I want to say this to everyone of those money grubbing, greedy fucks on Ebay.
Exquisite, uncompromising, ineffable.
A masterpiece just keeps getting better
Ummmmmm chocolate chip.
Absolute masterpiece. Simply puts all other music out right now to absolute shame.
Boom
Looking forward to Milwaukee and Chicago!
Can't wait for Raleigh!
This album was well worth the wait. And the guitar work on 7empest is unbelievable!!! Great job boys! ?
I discovered Tool in 1996 in Phoenix, so some could say I'm late to the game, but I think 23 years of dedication is good enough. There's not band like Tool. There are many great bands, but there's only one Tool!

Great album, cannot wait to hear it live.
See you guys in Raleigh, NC. Only took about 15 minutes to sell that place out! After a washout in Rockingham, NC at the Epicenter Festival, seems about on par.
I cracked Fear Inoculum 3 days before it came out, no big deal https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SY8PTJb3C4
And you're proud how?
Lol
Can't stop listening to the album since it dropped, absolutely love it!
Ditto!
Beast of a band
Tool is cool you fool!
??
I have been a tool fan since I saw them in 1992 at lollapalooza. Every album tool has released has been fucking awesome. I can't wait to see them on Halloween! Fuck, here we go again!
